Did the email define what time "evening CST" is? Does evening start at 3pm? 4pm? 5pm?

Is it possible you ran the old LCD at a higher refresh rate than 60Hz, I see in the specs for that monitor that it can run up to 85Hz at some of the lower resolutions. That high of refresh would most likely cause the 3007 to go to standby b/c it is out of spec.
