I pressed the on button, and the lights flash (I have a few LEDs on the front panels), but the fans don't spin and the motherboard doesn't turn boot.
Anyone have suggestions? It was working fine yesterday. I'm thinking the PSU is dead, but if there are any troubleshooting methods...
I currently have a Aspire/Apevia X-Dreamer with an atx motherboard. I was wondering if there were any more compact and lightweight cases available?
I've been eyeballing the X-Master from Apevia, which looks pretty nice and has a good amount of room while being small dimensionally.
Class D Dry Powder = Sand.
When I was in a chemical lab, we normally had buckets of sand just laying around when there was a chance of metallic fires. Preferably some calcium carbonate mixed with the sand.
Edit: Oh... and never add water to a metallic fire. It just quenches the metals and...
If Blizzard did make a game... It could be World of Barbie or some inane crap like that. Thus sucking young girls into an MMORPG for days. Woot! Pony steed ftw!
I nearly vomited from playing Resistance on PS3 at my friend's house. That was certainly a first time experience. Maybe the moons were aligned correctly.
Has anyone tried using a PS3 on this thing? I've already tried an Xbox 360 on this, but the PS3 is a mystery. Not as much info available on it, and I tried a search to no avail.
I've heard that fans are optimized to run vertically rather than horizontally. I'm wondering because I've recently acquired a Coolermaster 690, and 120mm are certainly more expensive than 80mm, I wondered if it was okay to just bolt in some Yate Loons into the horizontal holes, or if I should...

they have good deals every so often. The $45 for the Matrix isn't too bad, as it's all aluminum and very light weight (probably just a little heavier than a Antec Super Lanboy.)
Leave the side of your case open, and buy a cheap fan so you can blow air into it. Or mod your case by adding vents to the top. For now, just leave the side of your case open, as long as you're not moving it around, etc.
I was thinking about buying the X-Sonic case, as some have said that it's similar in nature with the really old original Antec Lanboys.
1. Can the 8800GTS fit? SLi capable too?
2. It's pretty light because of all aluminum construction...?
3. Do I need to be careful in choosing a PSU that...
UCSD Lan Party. I think it was called Winter Game Fest, or something.
This was way back (last winter). So many computers were there that we started to trip the circuit breakers.
So, I have a PX7900GT (leadtek). It is not HDCP enabled. If I were to buy some other 7900gt with HDCP enabled (MSI), and put it in SLi on my rig, would it allow me to play HD-DVDs in their full glory?
All my USB ports have died on a brand new motherboard. The motherboard is a MSI k9n Platinum (570 sli chipset). The USB was working 30 minutes ago. Please send help.
Meh, running fine with a purepower 500 Watt. It was handling two 6800 GT's fine in SLi with my A64 3200+. Not sure how much more of a strain the 7 series video cards have though.
Intel for working and networked to my LCD monitor in my living room. The hyperthreading helps in multitasking so much.
AMD for gaming and some video editting, but mostly gaming.
The A8N32-sLi solution will certainly future proof you. It's probably a wise decision, as it'll be the "new" sli standard.
With the money you save, you should be able to buy a decent Powersupply (thermaltake) for cheap. Thermaltakes tend to be cheaper, but reliable. Same with coolermaster.
Really depends.
For quietness, you'll want to use a 120 fan with a lowered RPM so it equals the CFM of a 80 mm fan. Use something else to mod than the P180. P180 is sort of something you keep due to its beauty. You case mod no-name cases first, then move up to something like a Lian-Li, which...
I disagree. The reason why Prescott was Preshott was because of Netburst. Netburst implementation meant unusually long pipeline stages. Even though this technically allowed higher Hz scalability, it meant that per cycle, the chip itself was doing less work. Also, the scalability was proven...
It's odd that the Chinese have the best jet.
But the Blackhawk is a really good jet. So is the other American jet.
In general, I love the M24. It's super accurate compared to the other snipers.
The MEC fully automatic weapons are better imo compared with the American burst M16.
Assuming he doesn't need peripherals and a monitor... This is what I would get.
AMD Opteron 148 Venus (939) $236
BioStar Geforce 6100-M9 $70
Generic 512MB 2.5 CAS RAM $35

Sennheiser PC 150.
These things are super comfortable, and the mic can be semi-bent into how you want it. It's a very nice set with lots of built in options. The mic is semi-static cancelling, so it's noticeably clearer compared...
The ASRock 939Dual seems to be a very good deal.

It overclocks a reasonable bit too, and comes with stuff that normally isn't on a bargain board.
All off them are reliable. Depends if you need SLi or not, as it depends on the implementation. The DFI SLi-DR boards overclock very well. However, value-wise, the BioForce or the ECS SLi boards are both very good choices as well.
