I had a possibly similar issue, when closing the lid the backlight would never come back on when opening it again. I also got conflicting info about the inventor and backlight so I never bothered. I read on the Apple support forum that my issue was actually software related because people were...
I've been working on site that's going to make a lot of use of charts. I've been keeping up to date on lots of charting libraries and tested a bunch with my data to get an idea of which I want to use. I listed a few that I'm familiar with.
Flot - pretty standard and easy to use, probably the...
I believe you want a sticky footer, which stays at the bottom unless there's content to push it further down.
Here's some links that explain it better than I can:

I've found 256kbps to be a good compromise for me. I keep higher quality stuff on my computer to listen with real headphones, but for portable audio 256 is plenty.
Yeah, I believe this is an issue with the icon preview cache. A preview of the icon is cached for quicker access at some increment and I think when you install something it just takes a while before it gets cached. This is something I've experienced from way back in OSX, even this post from 2004...

why not just do an Airport Extreme with whatever USB devices plugged in? I've heard of many people using an Airport Extreme with a Drobo plugged in. something like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/timwilson/3350789684/. Only downside would be USB speed, which isn't too bad really.
another vote for VMWare Fusion.
I've tried all 3 extensively and find Fusion to be the most stable and easiest to use with the best balance of features and simplicity. I've had some stability issues with Parallels but it does have the 'coolest' features. VirtualBox is nice and free but is...
quicktime does it. It's not exactly perfect or easy but it will do basic stitching and then exporting. Although I'm pretty sure it only exports as .mov.

They'd never do this simply because it means other manufactures could come in a undercut them with cheaper hardware, think Dell, HP ect...
Also the entire issue of keeping a uniformed and consistent appearance of the product line is something important to Apple.
The only easy thing I can think of is to launch iTunes and hide it. (command h) That way it'll do it's thing in the background whenever. But you still have to remember to launch it.
- the overuse of php and way too many database calls (cause for high traffic issues)
- style, menu systems and interface are just too convoluted for what it does
- basic functions like automatic updates are non-existent or handled very poorly
with that said, everything is as customizable as...
Software Update does the downloading and installing of the drivers itself. There should be no need to do anything after software update installs it.
Sounds more like a networking issue more than a driver issue to me.
ya the logitech thing didn't work for me for the first 2 weeks after I got my mouse, then out of no where one day it worked and has worked ever since ...
Panther to Tiger was a huge and great upgrade, Leopard is no where near it. There are a few things that apply to some people and cosmetic upgrades but no single "must buy it now" reason. It's a decent upgrade to make when everything is worked out but there's no hurry.
offsite I used Amazon S3 and JungleDisk for a while. JungleDisk updates once an hour, if anything is new in there (you can specify folders to include like documents, music ect...) it will upload it to the server. The 1st upload was a pain in the ass but it works out alright.
I stopped using it...
as long as the ram and hard drive you buy are compatible it should be no problem, done that myself.
Dual booting is done through bootcamp. It basically sets up a separate partition, lets you install whatever version of windows you have, and loads all the drivers to make all the things work...
1. Yes, very normal. Depends on where the light source in your room is and the reflection off the screen.
2. Yes, pretty much all laptops have built in wireless support now.
3. Seems like a decent price from what I've seen.
here's a better version (looks to be the same stuff on sale), scroll to the bottom to pick the page you want.

Ya there's nothing out there yet, I was looking for something similar when I was working on video editing and saving to portable hard drives but didn't find anything. It's too bad I'm sure there's quite a large market for it.
I'm guessing it's this one...
