I don't like the sparkle/grain that heavy AG brings.
I have a glossy monitor, as well as a monitor with heavy AG, and prefer to deal with reflections.
There aren't a lot of good (or affordable) glossy monitors on the market so the level of AG coating a monitor has is important to me...

My XFX 6950 flashed to Sapphire 6970 had no problems running the Cinema Display I tested out (including bios post) so I don't expect you'll have any problems.
I didn't test the webcam on the CD but the mic was poor quality compared to what I have ($10 from Walmart). It picked up a lot of...
The fuzziness in both pictures looks like the result of jpg compression.
Top is level 12 (high quality, largest file size), then 6, 3, and 0 (worst quality, lowest file size).
If you save the pic and zoom in you can really see how compression affects the image quality.
Definitely sounds like it. Vertical lines of pixels being dead/stuck is a pretty common problem, as far as problems go. Call Dell and get the ball rolling on an RMA.
I don't mind matte with a very light anti-glare coating, but I prefer glossy.
I have a glossy display now and I really notice the graininess that AG brings since I've gotten used to it not being there. Colors also seem to really pop on the glossy while still looking natural. My room is dimly...
Compares most closely with the NEC PA241W on paper

I can't speak for the Dell (although it uses the same IPS panel from LG) but I was able to demo the 27" Apple and sitting close to it resulted in pretty severe "IPS glow" in the corners, even when my head was dead center and the monitor was tilted to be perpendicular to my vision. The glow was...

Anyone else pick up this monitor and have anything to say about it? Looks like most of the complaints from the reviews on the Dell website are about the touch screen, which I don't really care about. A glossy IPS...

Looks very interesting. Probably will jump on it if it gets some positive early reviews and doesn't have aggressive AG.
Hello all
I've had my NEC 20WMGX2 for nearly 5 years, and about a month ago I noticed a washed-out distortion creeping inward from the left side of my screen. It's indistinguishable on a white or black background, but blues and purples seem to make it really stand out. It becomes much more...

general consensus is that it's one of the best, if not the best, LCDs on the market
maybe if you have 20/40 vision....
Anyone with decent eyes will be able to discern between ~900,000 and ~2,000,000 pixels on a 65" screen, even from 12 feet away.
Um if you buy an all silver monitor from fry's, i doubt they'll accept a return on a black and silver one unless the person working at the CS counter does it accidentally.
Well, the only dealing I've had with NEC was for the rebate that came with the monitor. Mail in rebates usually take 4-6 weeks, from my experience, to be processed and sent back. Five days after sending out my MIR, i got an e-mail...
Dear NEC Consumer,
Thank you for...
It's pretty hard to take good pictures of this monitor, especially when you have a crappy camera. i took 4 pictures and this is the only one that wasn't blurry. pic still doesnt do it justice.
