when i first played through the ut3 sp on the easiest difficulty i managed to beat the final boss without dying once but when i played it on normal i was surprised by how good the final boss was and i only won by 20-16 :eek: any tips for finishing the ut3 sp on hard?

thats because the last level has an absolutely insane amount of particle effects while the first level has very little(infact there is none in the gpu benchmark.)

i guarantee that crysis at 1280x1024 no AA everything high on your system will be not only be playable, but smooth also.you know why? because my system has the same vcard as yours and a slightly slower processor and i have some settings on very high.

im pretty sure when cevat yerli says maxed out he he means 1280x1024 no AA everything very high.btw thats my idea of maxed out too.one thing he definitaly lied about was native quad core support.

so an overclocked 8600gts is slower than my stock 7800gt in my two favourite games :confused: .

if the high end went to $999, it would be limited to those seeking 3dmark world records and rich people who dont know any better.

the 8800 series is not supposed to have the best price/performance ratio.

perhaps they sent the same card back to you? cant imagine them having a working 7800 gtx 512 just lying around...

if you ask me, the last decent driver for the 7800gt was the 84.21(currently using them now.)

a while back ati signed on for gddr4 while nvidia signed on for xdr.i dont have the link, i saw it on an xs news thread months ago thats now gone.of course this just means nvidia will use xdr sometime in the next few years.obviously we will see xdr on nvidias videocards before we see it on...

he means r580+(x1950.)there is a good chance it has gddr4.there is also the outside possibility of g80 having xdr :eek: .but gddr4 seems far more likely.

gddr4 on both is pretty much confirmed.
