The thing is even some Windows icons show at full size even in Extra Large view. I dont understand why others wont, especially seeing as they are all the same file type (.ICO). If they indeed werent able to show bigger than 256x256 than none of the icons would fill the box in extra large view.

Thanks for the info. I found out it was one of the Dell utilities that offers some additional options for the wireless card. Its an unneeded service so I disabled it and all is well now! :cool:

tried different cables. what i ment was if i start the wireless first then disable it once the LAN is up it works.

It has never gone over 54mpbs since the day i got it (which was months ago). Its shows as 54 in both windows and Netstumbler. They are both Netgear Rangemax products so i assume they are compatible.

there is minimal inter. because they are only about 15 feet in a straight line away from each other, and even when put in the same room it still wont connect at 108mbps.

Ive got a Netgear Rangemax 824 108mbps Router Link plus a Rangemax 240mbps Wireless USB adapter Link My problem is the network will only run at 54mbps even though the router is set to 108mbps and the adapter can go up to 240mbps. Anyone know whats causing this/how to fix it?
