I'm in the same dilemna as you too.. The A02 revisions seem to have fixed everything.
AFAIK, the Dell can switch to either protrait/landscape mode, as it has a rotating/pivoting stand.
Woah, you've got both monitors? Can try to post some comparison shots? I've got a 2025, and I'm thinking of switching to a 2007.
I'm particularly interested in the viewing angles, as it seems that the Viewsonic has poorer viewing angles (not to mention a reddish color cast at the extreme...
That's weird. Just to check, you are using DVI?
This function works on my IBM Thinkpad (X300 Mobility) on an 1024 x 768 LCD. Not sure if it will be different with the mobility drivers.
Hi,
Thanks for the review. Just to check, did you manage to calibrate your screen with a display calibrator (ie, Eye One, X-Rite) etc?
I'm also intending to use this for photo editing, but however, the gradient problem would seem to be a deal breaker for me. Would it be possible to show...
I use a solution for cleaning digital camera SLR lenses and camera CCDs:
Eclipse Optic Cleaning System by Photographic Solutions (www.photosol.com)
I think if this is approved by Hassablad for cleaning their top grade lenses, and almost everyone uses this to swab their DSLR CCDs, then I...
If I'm not wrong, the 2025 has always been a P-MVA, with panels by AUO..
I think the S-IPS panel should be incorrect (at least, that's what the Dell's using..)
I'm stuck in the same boat as you guys as well. :(
For me, I'm tending to go with the Dell for its HDCP/composite video inputs, and it's tilt/protrait/swivel functions.
But then again, it's an easier choice for me, as both displays are rather close in price on my side here.
But then...
Hi all,
Just my POV on the "ghosting" photos.
Shutter speed's of utmost importance when taking these photos, due to 2 reasons:
1) Handshake - you handholding the camera
2) Motion Blur due to object movement
These 2 factors may be misviewed as ghosting, which is absolutely not true...
Hi there,
Was wondering if you could navigate around in the OSD to see if there's any indication of the LCD panel used?
They used to have this shown for the previous models I think..
There seems to be a price drop for the Dell 2007.
Now it's at $899 (a S$100 price difference, comes with a free soundbar).
Dang.. the options are getting tempting. This, or the Viewsonic 2025 (which costs S$799)?
For those who are using ATI Cats (I'm basing this on my experience with the Mobility versions), there seems to be this option called "Use Center Timings" that seems to be it.
However, I do not have the monitor to test it out.
Some curious questions: If there's no internal scaling in the...
Hi all,
Thought I might want to give this a shoutout:
The prices for Dell's 2007WFP have been released in Dell Singapore.
S$999.

Dell USA could be cheaper than this, given that most LCDs are selling at a...
Hi guys,
Was wondering if anyone of you has a monitor calibrator to check the gamma range of this baby.
This monitor has got me interested in getting it for Photoshop usage.
This is what I mean:

The dark gamma area is from my...
