Hey guys, how's it going?
I'm thinking of upgrading my 680 GTX to the 980 upon its release. I bought the 680 two years ago and it still performs well, but with Far Cry 4 on the horizon, along with my anticipation of DOOM 4, I'm thinking it might be worth buying a new GPU. When I went to NCIX...
He has my old GX2, the thing never worked right in SLi. And unless nVidia has fixed them up, It's a terrible idea.
He pointed me to this thread to answer you. Hope I don't offend anyone in the process.
Clarification from 0mega on the last line of his post: "It was a joke, I should have put...
NCIX is good, but recently TigerDirect has been giving them a run for their money. I recently purchased an 8800 GTS (640MB) from TD and it was a full $50 cheaper than at NCIX. That was before taxes, and it was NOT on sale. Plus I got a rebate.
Look at the graphic cards on NCIX, then go to TD...
Well the panel debating aside, I appreciate the advice...I'll most likely end up getting the 2007 WFP UltraSharp. Gotta wait and see though, if Dell keeps up the sales throughout August, I might get lucky and buy a 2407-HC instead.
Well the NEC is definitely out of my league right now, and the Acer doesn't seem to available in Canada online...
I'm looking at this Samsung; it seems rather nice. http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=14040MN5351
I'm in the market for a new 20" LCD right now, primarily for gaming. I'm looking at the Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP b/c I know Dell has a good rep amongst gamers for the quality of their monitors, but I'm wondering if there are other alternatives.
I know Viewsonic and Samsung tend to be pretty...
I started reading PCG back in August of 2002, and I agree, the magazine has taken a major turn since Vede became EIC, but I wouldn't say the magazine has become garbage.
Personally I still like their previews and reviews. Ever since I was exposed to [H] though I don't bother with their...
I'll second that. I remember when Halo first came out...SUCH a resource hog OMG. I'm like, ok, this game has been out for 3+ years now, why the hell is it running so poorly?
I have the beta, and I've only played one game. It was meh...I guess either the server was laggy, or my graphic settings are too high, which is unlikely considering I'm running at 1280x1024 on an 8800GTS 640 MB.
I'll give it another spin sometime this week.
Are there any articles on the web describing this price cut? I Google-d it, but the most recent source I got was from The Inquirer, but it doesn't seem too popular around here...
Blu-Ray has more support than HD DVD, that much is certain. But for the next 5 months at least, sales figures will keep bouncing back and forth b/w both camps. It wasn't too long ago that HD DVD was outselling Blu-Ray; I think it was about a month ago or so.
Blu-Ray will fight back for a...
Kyle, we're all behind you 100% man. We can't thank you enough for your efforts! :) ;)
If it's not too bold to ask, why are you being forced away from Planet?
The point is well taken. I said that b/c I get into constant arguments about having a QC CPU in my next rig with a friend of mine, and that's the argument he gives me: Intel's Kentsfield is not true QC b/c it's split die.
As I understand it, the quad core we have today isn't true QC, in the sense that the dies are split, thus creating latency lag between the two cores. How efficient could that be for processing physics in-game?
Ya, but look at how scarce they are...when did the 360 Elite become the new Wii? Or w/e you want to call it
Surely increased demand would mean MS would put more out to the retailers. As far as I know, the 360 isn't in nearly as much demand as the Wii.
I'm having the same problem here in Toronto...they're all over eBay, but I'm not interested in paying for some stupid custom fee, much less shipping. The majority of the sellers are in the U.S.
Best Buy doesn't have any, nor does Future Shop, The Source, Amazon.ca...UGH!
Where they limited run?
