At first I was a little shocked that half the comments on that article were people arguing whether or not bother and just get a mac instead. But then I realized I was on cnet and it makes sense.
Haha. Yes I tried that as well. It worked, but running things in VM yielded maybe 5fps in games (unplayable).
I tried nearly everything possible to keep Win7 on this laptop but nothing worked :(
After using like 10 different builds of Windows 7 on my laptop (started with m3; ended with 7229) in the past 6 months or so I went back to Vista.
I have a laptop with an Intel integrated 4500HD vga.
Since the beta version of Windows 7 released my laptop began crashing when running...
matrox
voodoo 3
geforce 2 ti
geforce 4 ti 4400
radeon 9800XT
radeon X850XT Platinum
geforce 8800GTX
geforce GTX 285
my next card will be whatever the best single card is of the next generation. G300 or R800
ACTUALLY...your all wrong.
These are real. The first two are circle dock ad-ons.
It can be downloaded here. (its not a final product though)
As for the last one, it looks like another dock but not sure what one.
I have a gtx280 and have found that DX10 is unplayable in FC2. I get about 50fps in dx10 and 45fps in dx9. However, while in dx10 mode I get a large amount of input lag making the game difficult to play. Even with 5fps less, it feels so much faster in dx9 mode because of the input lag I get in...
The first thing I noticed after installing Vista is how much faster the start-up process is than XP. It may take 4 or 5 seconds longer to reach the desktop, but once it reaches the desktop it loads my start-up programs (firewall, anti-virus, etc) much faster than XP did.
1. This is very old news and looks like the inq is late with this.
2. This is not a serious issue as you say, but a minor issue that caused BSOD's on a few specific systems.
3. This bug has already been patched on the latest bios's months ago.
4. The article in no way says anything...
umm...read that page again. Just because the Core 2's bar is smaller than the P4 doesn't mean it is worse. Under the graph it says lower = faster. :D
*sniff sniff*
I smell marketing BS for AM2.
Nobody really knows anything until we either get an official statement or see some proof. Until then, I see this as BS rumers (from whoever) to get people to upgrade to AM2.
Is there even a motherboard that will support dual 7950 gx2's and still have pci room for a ppu and a sound card?
Is there even lots of games that will run correctly with dual dual-core videocards?
I always have the PCIe lock on so I don't think it was that.
I thought that maybe the fan was dying at first, but then I wasn't sure since the fan worked fine running at low speeds while windows started up or while I was in the bios. It only stopped working the instant I reached the desktop...
I was overclocking my Prescott 3.0ghz as high as I could with a zalman 9500. I reached 4.2ghz then my computer restarted. I went into the bios and reset the voltages and clocks to default and restarted.
It started up fine but when I reached the desktop my screen went blank and the fan on my...
lmao
Oh shit! You guys are right. How dare people compare Intels latest processor on hand to the FX-62 thats unfair! They should use AMD's latest on hand chip as well...........OH WAIT!
I can't wait to see threads 1 year from now..
Conroe XE 3.7ghz vs K8L.....if conroe wins we will see...
