yes, you are right about the difference in chipset. I didn't bother mentioning those because I was already aware of them, and I think for many it's not a critical feature to miss. But I guess for some that alone could make it worth the price difference.

its interesting that those ghosting tests you reference show the dell doing so well, yet why is it that none of the review websites recommend the dell 2007fpw for gaming citing the viewsonic as the better option? I don't get it, I know that the banding issues have been somewhat of a deterrant...
from reading reviews (no hands on) I was under the impression that the Viewsonic vx2025wm has a better pixel response than the Dell 2007fpw, therefore isnt it better for gaming? the 2007fpw may have other advantages, but afaik nothing directly associated with gaming (HDCP, ergonomics etc)...
apparently the 205BW is a TN panel, whereas the viewsonic is MVA.. so the 205BW will have slightly faster response which is good for gaming, but the viewsonic vx2025wm will have better viewing angles and slightly better contrast ratio.
