Is it possible to link a DVD drive and a hard drive by a different configeration that what they are labeled? For example, plugging the "system board' end into the DVD drive, the "slave" end to the IDE HD, and the "master" end into the motherboard?

Does this mean I have too much intake or exhaust? I currently have 3 80mm intake fans, two at the front and one on the side blowing on the vid card, 1 92mm fan on my heatsink and 1 120mm exhaust fan. Would it help to add a 120mm blowhole at the top or something?

If I didn't have any ram already, it would be an obvious choice. But I already have some dual channel 512x2 and I want to upgrade to 2gb. Should I just get another set of dual channel 512x2 or bite the bullet and get a set of 1gbx2 and sell my current set?
