this is because...amd ocing and intel ocing are different.. on amd platform, u can always make the memory to run a lower speed. in order to achieve a higher FSB on cpu. also lower the timing.. like 200mhz running 2 2 2 5, and 240mhz may be 3 3 3 8 something... if you want your memory run...

i know...but the things is....is a better ram can make the cpu overclock more..? because some1 say when he get a better ram then can hit 3.0ghz ..that's make no sense.

since their performance is about the same. am2 platform is slightly better than s939 platform...2-5%. so get the AM2, since it's cheaper!!!!!!!!:)

i m just confuse...in my mind that..cpu's overclocking result is not depends on how good your ram is. because u can always lower the divider. to make the ram run at a lower speed....and lower timing... but someone say: my ram is holding me back.. and he is doing 2.7ghz on his x2...

did you set the HTT to 3x or 4x? and set the memory ratio thing. ocz is good on OC~

um...worth to upgrade.. because you are playing on high res. 1600x1200 and max out, it wont get any cpu bottle neck. you will have nice fps increase. correct me if i m wrong..:) btw, is your cpu OCed?

i would vote for x2 3800, it can go from 2.0 to somehow 2.7-2.8ghz.(gain like 700mhz) also it get the 10x, so make ocing easier. just to lower the fsb/ram ratio. correct me if i m wrong~ and tell me what's your opinion and why?:)

i m going to replace my hard drive to a bigger size, and i dun wanna reinstall everything again including windows. it's there a way that i can clone the old hd into the new hd. then i can just plug the new hd, and good to go. thanks! :)

i have a MSI 7900gto which is running a GTX speed, just so tempted to get anothet 1 to run sli. i am gaming on 19inch LCD 1280x1024. should i go sli or just save my money?

i have another suggestion.. just replace your c2d e6600 to e6300 or 6400, that will save you some bucks. then get a 7950 gx2 or 1950xtx or 8800GTS (if you are goin to OC), but i assuming you are, because you are getting the gigabyte DS3 also 600w is too much for a single card! 500W...

it's depends on what res you are playing at? i mean starting at 1280x1024 with 4aa and 16af, 512mb will be better for same card.. i mean 7900gt 256 vs 7900gt 512. i am not sure different card tho. anyways, either 1 will good for gaming! good luck of chosing it! by the way. i like...
