LG L204WT :D I have one and it kicks ass for both PC and 360..

I have the same problem. I'm going to have to wait until next summer til' I can afford this beautiful monitor..

Has anyone gotten this monitor to work with black bars on the sides like in a 4:3 res??

There is still banding in games with the 2007WFP. They only fixed banding on the desktop.. If he wants a gaming monitor he needs something different. If you're connecting through VGA I'd try the LG L204WT.

If you have an Nvidia graphic card you can use their "Display Optimization Tool." It makes my LCD look good..

The Dell uses a different panel than the other two (can't think of the exact one) and a 16ms on that panel is equal to a 8ms TN panel. The Dell is fine for games.

Wow, that's insane. I have to stick my face up to the screen to see the pixels...

You need at least 30 FPS for games to run smooth. Also, I'm sure a 6800 GT would be enough to run a few games at 1680x1050 with high settings but if you want to get the most out of a monitor upgrade you will need a great graphic card.

Think of it like this, if you have an X-Fi soundcard with the worst speakers/headphones in the world would they sound as good as they could sound? No. Upgrade the graphic card first so you can get the most out of your monitor! :D

Please do compare it with the Viewsonic VX2025, I don't know if I should get that one or the LG!? :confused:

OUCH. :eek: I suggest trying to play with a different monitor. Even if you have to borrow from a friend just to see if its the computer or the actual monitor.
