    Corsair HS1 Gaming Headset Give-Away - 5 Sets!!!

I need to hear better in games because I don't have the time to practice to play better, so hearing better will solve that problem right?

AMD 890GX / SB850 Chipset Gigabyte Motherboard Preview

Thanks for the video. I know this is a bit outside of the scope of your video, but I wonder if the raid controller is a little more robust on this MB than they have had in the past. On my current MB (M4A79T Deluxe) I'm running raid 5 and I have to rebuild the raid about once a month due to it...

Toyota Recall Highlights Potential Car Computer Troubles

http://www.autoblog.com/toyota_recall/guide#therecalls Can you please enlighten me as to what part of this is the computer commanding 100% throttle? I don't understand how the floor mat sticking the throttle open is computer related. I also don't understand how two plates sticking together...

Toyota Recall Highlights Potential Car Computer Troubles

Design problems are design problems. The sticking gas pedal is due to the bad design of a friction plate, and nothing to do with software. I don't think it is causing any less problems because it's mechanical.

Getting Fired In 140 Characters Or Less

Ok, so what ever happened to freedom of speech? I would think that at some point this idea of you can't ever express dissatisfaction over a job without fear of getting fired has got to come to an end (I know this isn't the exact case here, but it's the point). If this guy had said the same...

The Top 5 Reasons Why Vista Failed

Whether or not you like Vista or plan to skip it and go to Windows 7, if you are in an IT shop and you are going to deploy anything after XP you really should start looking at the new deployment toolkit. I've been working with that damn thing for 1.5 years now and it is a PITA. MS seems to be...

The Top 5 Reasons Why Vista Failed

Yes there is -- the GPO's have been *greatly* expanded. In a home environment this means nothing. Take a look at the ActiveX Installer Service for a very good example. I sure wish ActiveX would just die, but until then it is nice to use that with a GPO so the machines I admin can just load...

The Top 5 Reasons Why Vista Failed

Vista isn't going to be a huge number of those calls -- Office 2007 will be. For the average user in a corp setting where GPO's dictate a lot of things those users are going to notice the "start" button has changed, and the start menu doesn't fly out. Office 2007 with the ribbon is going to...

A Facebook For The CIA and Other Agencies

Is this for real or is this a honeypot? I'm sure I'll never know in my lifetime, but either way it's a pretty interesting idea. Of course it is ran by a gvtmental agency so if it is for real it probably isn't that userful.

    Production 2010 Camaro Revealed

I hope you don't ever have to take that car out for a drive at night with all that blue light because you won't be able to see where you are going from all the glare off the dashboard lights.

UC San Diego Unveils World's Highest-Resolution Display System

Sounds to me like the boss was out on vacation for a couple weeks and the computer techs didn't want to do their job and put all those monitors out on the desks where they were supposed to go so they spent 2 weeks building a monitor wall.

NVIDIA Dictates Advertised Video Card Pricing

What it sounds like is that everyone needs to contact their Congressional representatives and tell them that this type of practice needs to be explicitly outlawed here in the United States. I'm not one for advocating a lot of governmental interference, however I do feel the practice of any...

    Bad Marketing Idea?

Activision is all about bad taste when it comes to gimmicks to sell their games. Several years ago to promote "Gun" they had a poker tournament in gave yards that used people's death dates to make good hands.

Standoff Hits a Sour Chord With Gamers

I don't understand how any of this could be happening. Shouldn't any controller be used to play any game on a console? Isn't that the whole point of a console? If I bought a Logitech controller should any game publisher get a check from Logitech because I am using that controller to play a game?

    A Farewell from [H] Consumer

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, as I have not read all the pages yet, but felt the need to jump in the middle of the conversation. As far as the consulting business have you thought about having it both ways? Do the consulting work for a fee but then reserve the right to post...

    Horrible Corsair RMA Experience

I received my ram today. It was shipped overnight on Friday. I am very happy to have my ram. I wish I did not have to go through the process it took to get it. I don't want this to sound like sour grapes, but for the sake of completeness -- I did not get the thank you that I was told I...

    Horrible Corsair RMA Experience

So I call back today to check and see if my RMA had been shipped out yesterday as I was told by the lady on the phone it would be. Of course it was not. So I guess I am going to start keeping track here. RMAs processed and returned within 72 hours - lie 1 email if rma is not precoessed...

    Horrible Corsair RMA Experience

Yes, I bought my ram from neweeg. The reason that I did not RMA through newegg was because I thought it would be better to have Corsair replace my memory. I *thought* that I only had 30 days replacement from newegg. I *knew* that I had a lifetime warranty from Corsair. Maybe I should have...

    Horrible Corsair RMA Experience

I am having the exact same problem with Corsair right now. I built a system for the wife in Jan and she's been having some problems that took a while to show up. After messing around with it I found out that one of the memory sticks is bad. On Mar 28 I sent the RMA in to Corsair overnight...

Make sure you disable any on-board sound you might have in your BIOS. I don't know if my experiences will directly relate to what you are seeing but on two different machines I have seen on-board sound drivers BSOD Vista on a very regular basis. One machine uses nvidia sound drivers and the...

Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel @ [H] Console

Yes, but with the games for windows push it would be possible to pit the two together. I know that wouldn't fall under the console section, but I'm sure you could find another banner to fly that review under. ;)

Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel @ [H] Console

From your review: This is not a flimsy product in any way, shape or form and for those of us that enjoy real life driving / racing, the feel of the wheel and pedals is second to none. Does this mean that the feel of a wheel in a racing game is better than that of a controller, or that it...
