The BioStar has a nice green pcb :) ...but it has active cooling on the chipset. For me a good reason not to pick this mobo. Have no experience with Biostar though.
I would like to upgrade my second rig with an AMD dualcore cpu.
Specs: EPOX EP-9HDAI Pro, VIA K8T800 Pro + VT8237R - AGP (Socket 939)
at the moment an AMD 64 3200 (Venice) is installed.
My question: does anyone have experience with Via's K8T800 and AMD 64 dualcore cpu's?
According to...
Ok, I've made up my mind and ordered 5 TaceNS Aura Ice 120mm fans plus one 80mm to replace the standard AMD cpu cooler.
The black-white contrast of the fans does look quite good on the TJ-09 and at 1200rpm they operate nearly silent.
White LEDs :)
...blue CCFL switched off...
I upgraded from a Lian-Li V1000 Plus to a TJ09. Temperatures of all components dropped considerable, especially my 7900 GTX SLI setup is running much cooler now (some 5 - 10 degrees).
So if you're into some serious overclocking the TJ09 is the way to go :)
@ Darkside: a Yesico Silentcool 560Watt: Link
@ videomasterz: yep, you noticed that right, they're sitting nicely together :) I guess thats one of the drawbacks of MSI boards. For working in dual channel they must be placed like this...
Don't have a real reason for that besides it is handy to put some unwanted cables out of sight on top of the dvd player :D
But you're right, it looks better when fitted in the top bay.
@Clump: nice setup u have there !
@all: thanks for the welcome :)

I've been following this great thread for quite some time now, so i thought to share some pics as well.
The TJ09 photos that SlikRig posted some weeks ago really convinced me that this would be my new case !
Oh btw, it's my first post on this forum so... hello everybody :D
