And still no audio over HDMI on my Philips TV.:(
Whatever you do, just avoid the combination of a Philips TV with an Nvidia graphics card. Philips TVs and Nvidia GPUs don't play well together. It's a hit or miss and you may be one of the unlucky ones, like me.
Motherboards definitely.Socket 775 CPUs will probably be around.
If you want to be able to upgrade in a couple of years this is not the right time to buy a new system.Building a system which will be upgradeable in a couple of years will turn out to be expensive at the moment.
We're at a...
This certainly sucks:(, but the Q6600 is a bargain right now so i think i'll just settle for that.Stupid me, i should have followed the golden rule in this industry,"never wait", and gone for the Q6600 earlier.
I'll probably go for the abit IP 35 Pro or one of the P35 based Gigabyte mobos, unless Intel decides to release the Q9450 soon but that seems unlikely.
Hi, guys.I'm thinking about getting 8GB of RAM for my new system.Which one would you recommend?Corsair XMS2 DDR2 4GB (2X2GB) PC2-6400 (800MHZ) CL5 or G.Skill DDR2 4GB (2X2GB) PC8000 1000MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT?
I can get the corsair for 110(euros) and the g.skill for 125.Is it worth paying 15 more...
Damn you Intel.I need to replace my pc since it's not working anymore, and was thinking about waiting for the new 45nm Processors.:(
I can't make it for 2 or 3 months without a PC.This delay seriously pisses me off.
Exactly! The lack of competition is against everyone's interest.Even the industry's sooner or later.
So, even if you are an Intel fanboy better hope AMD gets in the game soon.
Check this thread for the differences between the abit IP35 pro and IP35-E :

Just check the specs of each motherboard from the manufacturer's site. All of them are solid motherboards with many pleased owners and very...
Definitely yes.A good heatsink is a must for overclocking.
Yes, you will.Your pc's response time will certainly improve.Apps will load faster etc.
Raptors are a bit expensive though. You will probably be better off getting a smaller one for your OS and apps/games and another cheaper, slower...
It's only worth waiting for penryn, since it will start shipping in about two months and it will be the first 45nm processor(cooler, less energy consumption). As a consumer i hope so, but i just don't think so.I hope i'm wrong and you are right. In any case, i still think people getting a Q6600...
I think you've answered your own question on whether you should wait or not. There's no point in waiting in this industry. The next best thing is always around the corner.
Whether or not Nehalem will be as great as Intel says it will be, noone can answer that yet since there's nothing...
Did anyone else notice an improvement using VGA instead of DVI-D? Bringing down the contrast really helps, at least in my case.I can notice the grays on this forum now, while previously everything was black.
I'll use it for a while and see, but my first impressions is that i prefer the...
The funny thing is i've read on a review, maybe cnet not sure though, that the maximum brightness reaches 250cd/m2 and not 300cd/m2 DELL claims.
Are you kidding me?Who would want an even brighter monitor than this one:eek:
Maybe professional calibration software/hardware would help, but it's...
My 2007WFP came with S-IPS, so i'm not having any issues with poor viewing angles. But i know just what you mean about brightness. The sad news is this monitor looks best when the the brightness is not below 40.:( Setting the brightness at 40-50, wow, the colours are beautiful, the text becomes...
Tell us your experience with it, please.Any differences from the ones with REV A03?
I've got a complaint though, guys. This monitor is causing me eye-strain i believe.:(
This could be due to several reasons:
1)This is my first lcd, and i'm not used to it yet.
2)The resolution i...
For people like me who are not annoyed from the antiglare coating at all.If someone finds it that annoying, then a glossy monitor is the best choice.
And i don't even notice the coating in video playback. It's only visible in light colours, mainly white and gray. But it's not that bad. It's a...
In case anyone's interested there's no panel lottery in Europe. All monitors made in CZ are shipped with S-IPS panels.
I'm quite pleased so far with mine.I calibrated it a bit and it's quite good.I'm sure this monitor can be even better if properly calibrated:)
