The Official HP LP2065 Lottery Thread!

I received mine almost a week ago, but due to schedule and a missing SATA cable (its amazing what Best Buy does not carry anymore) I built and finished my system and am now enjoying my Nov 2006 S-IPS. One question - as I scroll through the postings, i get this "lag" - is there a way to...

The Official HP LP2065 Lottery Thread!

Alright, here is my contribution to this question. I was going through the Buy.com site again and found they actually have the LP2065 at two differet prices. And lo and behold, they even have two different model numbers...

The Official HP LP2065 Lottery Thread!

So I ordered one from Buy.com - it is due tomorrow (27th) and I suspect it was the last one they had in stock - and am a bit concerned, as are others about the potential of not getting what I thought I was paying for. So, absurd question of the night - 1) CAn I tell without opening the...

New build review - and don't be kind!

Man, this place is great. Well, since i do not see an ovrly large monitor in my future - 20.1 or MAYBE 22 tops - it sounds like I can avoid SLI. I like the board options everyone is suggesting (don't be afraid to keep them coming :) )and at the very least gives me a new set to look into...

New build review - and don't be kind!

Fair enough - the reviews certainly seem good. i just get concerned about budget creep. For value, I think the 7900 GS and 1950 pro would have seem value at ~$175 and the XT at ~$250. Now I am at $300.

New build review - and don't be kind!

Getting back to the mobo point that has been brought up, what would be the difference between my first post ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131142 which is dual card above all else...

New build review - and don't be kind!

Nothing better (or worse) than being iced in from work - end up compulsively watching these boards! thanks for the inputs, particularly for the mobo. It was an interesting comment that you made about the NVidia board and suggesting going with the card. Also the recommendation of downsizing...

New build review - and don't be kind!

This is my first build and it is probably coming at a horrible time as it seems the choices are more expansive than they were 4 years ago when I bought my current Dell. The current machine while adequate for home office applications, ain't cutting it in the gaming department and the "what is...
