Just did some more research
Here's a good thread on what the 8400m gs can play

And here's a review of a laptop (dv2500t) with the gs that's very positive

Just don't expect too much
Yeah but the C90S is also pretty huge compared to the m1330. Different values, power vs portability and style. When I get the m1330 I'll still have the desktop for games when I'm home and I'm getting the 3 year warranty, I doubt any laptop card will last more than 3 years.
Hmm, I'll definitely be playing Warcraft 3, cs:source, starcraft, starcraft 2 when it comes out, ut2k4, halo, half-life 2, guild wars, and some more that I'm not thinking of. Not sure about future games other than starcraft 2, 3-4 years is a long time...
No problems with those?
@miskari
Yeah it's very easy to upgrade the ram in these and it won't void the warranty. Just pop off the bottom. I don't think it's possible to upgrade the video card and if it is, it will void your warranty.
I'm thinking about getting the dell xps m1330, but I'm worried about the 8400. This laptop will have to last me 3-4 years and I don't have any idea how good it is relative to my current 9800 pro 256. What can I expect from it?
if this belongs in the mobile computing section please move it
If only they had a 6-cell + 9-cell option.. I don't really mind the 'monster' 9-cell as long as it's on the desk. It'll probably help with the cooling anyway, though I don't know if it would be harder to type. 6-cell for moving around, 9-cell for desk ;)
I emailed them, this is the response I got.
First time silverstone responded to me with no punctuation :p
I'm still very impressed that they responded so quickly
I'm thinking about buying the case, but the mesh worries me. I keep imagining the front turning into a huge sheet of dust. Is this possible? :confused:
Okay so assuming it fits.. do you think it would be like an inferno in the case or does the sg01 have good enough cooling? Exhausting the heat helps, I guess. Maybe I should just wait for the sg03.. And before anyone asks why I'd even buy the card, my friend offered me one for $350
I might sound like a noob when I say this, but is it possible that while this card might suck compared to the 8800 in dx9, it'll own in dx10? Or do cards that suck in dx9 suck in dx10 period?
I need a laptop by August and am thinking about buying one now. Would I be missing anything important that may be released? ie mobile dx10, new chipsets..
