After clearing up and modifying the airflow to my case i can get with my graphics card at 770/1905/1000 with temps of 32idle and 40load
Using the stock hsf was loading at over 90c. big difference i'll say.
I did that xfx headset deal, and just did this one, on same credit card(MC) but created new accounts.
apparently they figured that out, and canceled this order.
i ordered it on the 6th (Sunday) and chose budget free shipping.
They still haven't shipped it out yet. is this normal or does this mean i am placed on order because it's out of stock.
i don't think it was out of stock when i ordered it though.
haha, the centurion5 gets a little cramped sometimes, but the cooler is the best. thanks.
well, not completely. what what happened was that my pci-e cable is way too stiff, and caused it to bend down. but it probably is tied too tight too.
I orderered Tuesday night, and it came Thursday afternoon.
Hooray for newegg.
I ordered the superclocked, and i was lucky enough to recieve the free Crysis with it since it was "while supplies last"
Great card, i'm glad i ordered now, and canceled my $208 MSI, since hearing that they are...
what i find that gives me the best color is to set the gamma setting in your advanced image settings under your graphics card to .75
color correction, gamma .75.
I don't see why everyone else thinks this monitor is crap for the xbox360
the truth is, it's actually works very well (although doesnt' disply 1080p until MS updates the res)
I use 1360 x 768
or you could also use 1280x768
and they both look spectacular
I forgot to mention though, the wierdest part was that the return address on the box was where i normally recieve stuff from NewEgg.
Whittier California
I got S Panel, 0 dead pixels. ;)
I used this monitor for both xbox and PC.
Since Day 1 i had wierd problem with DVI port (even though minor)
When i switched to VGA to play 360 for like an hour, and i want to switch back to PC, it seems as the DVI port dies. And I tried everything, but still shows signal. Until i restart...
That is very wierd because I live in Southern California and I ordered from NewEgg.
However, they sent me one from TN warehouse (mad cuz took 3 days instead of usual 1)
I still got the S Panel though.
this is def a very good monitor, however i woudln't go as far as saying it's true 1080p.
it's probably the best one you could get under 400 bucks though.
if you could save like 100 bucks more you should get the Dell24".
it is much better and can support 1080i, which is probably better...
Recieved from Newegg. Usuall Crap UPS style shipping, but contents on the inside are superb.
Except Condition, ZERO dead pixels.
Backlight bleeding is much better compared to my Sceptre X22 Gamer, which wasn't that bad to begin with.
Still wish the 226 has HDMI port.
Newegg Gave me the S...
Here are some photos.
I'm using a Slightly overclocked BFG7800GT OC
I think the photos looked much better when there was actual light in the room.
Box-
Bleeding- (donesn't nearly look as bad in Person)
COD2-
BF2-
No Lights On
FarCry-
No Light in room.
Lights in room
C&C Tiberium Wars-...
I recieved my Monitor today from Costco.
Very sharp (DVI, haven't tested VGA)
Backlight bleeding is actually alright, I was just expecting a lot worse, or I was extremely lucky.
The stand... It's actually not that bad. I mean sure it's made of pure plastic, but it certainly does the job. By no...
I just ordered one from newegg, grand total of $388
but I still get 30MIB
I'll let you know how it comes out.
But first I must return my Sceptre 22" from CostCo.
