Its not the same S-IPS panel... in my opinion it is a lot better. The old LG panel was the same as the Mac 30" display. This is a newer LG panel used so far by Dell and HP on their latest 30" display. The old one was 72% of the NTSC color gamut, while the new one (HC) is 92%... which is huge...

The box is 33" x 11" x 27" The display doesn't have a scaler... 2 resolutions only. My nVidia card scales to anything I throw at it though, so its not a problem for PC use if your card scales.

Sounds like either your cable is loose, or you have a problem in the display or card that manifests itself after its been running for a period of time. I'd try checking the cables.... then try using the display on a different computer to see if you get a hit.
