I upgraded my pc two weeks ago and got a Q6600 from newegg with the same vid 1.325:mad:, I did get it stable @3.2(400x8 1:1) but with 1.487v bios, 1.42vid cpu-z(under load) this batch requires sh*t load of volts to oc and get it stable
that's a good chip, why dont you overclock it. http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2903
its capable of outperforming Intel's Core 2 Duo X6800 once overclocked
Those are the same exact parts i plan on using when i build my rig. For cooling am going to go with the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme and Scythe S-FLEX 120mm Fan. The P5k and the evga are about the same price, so i dont know about that. I know that the evga board is a great overclocker though.
Ive been trying all day and cant get it to work. i dont have media center but i read you can use windows media player or zune and that's what ive been using. I have the xbox and pc connected to each other with the ethernet cable that came with the xbox. i open WMP and go to library-media...
What is the cheapest graphics card that will allow me to use 1080p on this monitor. i read somewhere in here that a 5700fx can do 1080 but am not sure. i cant hook up my computer to the westy because i have a really crappy gpu.
and what dvi cable are u guys using to connect it to the monitor...
i wanna use this monitor as a tv mostly and hook my xbox 360 with the vga cable. how will it look?, there has been discussion on this thread that dvi is better than vga, but thats when using it as a pc monitor right?
Damn you all and this thread!!!!! i pulled the trigger and got myself one from costco today. Total was $898.02, ive never spent this much on anything i hope its worth it.
did you hook up the xbox via the vga cable? i read somewhere that the spring update made the xbox look a lot better through the vga cable. and can you post some pictures of an xbox game running on the westy, i just wanna see how gears would look compared to my 20" tube. ill buy one as soon...
