I'm getting drastically different Time Spy scores between the 2 cards. I get a 4300 Time Spy score with the GTX 1060 and only 3500 with the 480. I swore when I first built the system and benchmarked the 480 with it I got close to 4300. I think something is up.

Hello, when I run 3DMark's Time Spy benchmark with a Ryzen 1600 and a GTX 1060 it reports the boost clock as 3700. When I run the same benchmark with a Radeon 480 it reports the boost clock as 3400. Kind of strange. Any ideas as to why this would be?

They are so damn behind everyone. They just can't get ahead of anyone and just play catch up. If is wasn't for business/enterprise and gaming who would use a Microsoft product anymore? Microsoft is a joke now. For most of their business they just react to the trends now instead of creating them.

After more testing it's definitely the power profiles that causes the slowdowns. I get them with the AMD Ryzen power profile and don't if I switch to High performance on my system. Strange, not sure exactly what is causing it.

I think I got everything running as it should now. Memory is running according to spec now (just 2400). I'm not planning on overclocking. I picked up a led strip at Microcenter today and installed it- pretty darn cool.

I did not install the Gigabyte app so it wasn't the case for me. It seems to be running fine now. I'm not sure what exactly helped, but I adjusted my memory timings and voltage and reinstalled the AMD chipset drivers and things seem fine. My only question is if IDE/ATAPI controllers are showing...

Finally figured it out. I had to turn the num lock off and use page up and page down. The +/- did not work. Now have been able to properly adjust my memory timings and things seem good now. I also upped the memory voltage to 1.25 and changed the power profile in windows to high performance...

I tried + and -, did not try page up and down. Just weird, maybe because it's an early BIOS.

Still can't figure out how to change any cpu or memory settings in the BIOS. I tried the mouse and using the keyboard. Are those settings not allowed to be changed with the 1600 since it's not a "X" version, or is it such an early BIOS for this board they haven't enabled it yet?

I cannot manually change ram timings or voltage with the current BIOS. It won't let me do anything. All I can do is choose memory profiles and that's it. Anyone else with the same issue?

It seems to happen while multitasking which may be a memory issue. I am using a SSD. I did install the AMD chipset drivers but it was very confusing. It didn't do much. The device manager still lists the default Microsoft SATA drivers-is that correct?

I'm using an i7-3770 for the last 3 years and still see no need to update. Like you, only think I have been updating is video cards. Back in the day I'd updated my cpu every year. This is the longest I have ever had a cpu.

Have you guys tried Windows 10 on a tablet in "tablet mode?" If you have you may actually agree with what Cook said. I think he's got a valid point.
