    iCloud Keychain vs. 1Password

1Password will also store other things, like credit card info, addresses, other types of passwords, etc. It also lets you autocomplete all this info in a browser, using an implementation thats probably more secure than iCloud Keychain.

Apple Warns of SSD Failures in MacBook Air

This is a completely melodramatic analysis. Apple aggressively enforces their patents. However, if it is wrong, illogical or unfair for them to do so, why were those patents granted in the first place? If you have a beef with patent laws in this country, you would be better served to direct your...

NYC Is Replacing All Its Street Lights with LEDs

I'm a huge fan of energy efficiency upgrades. But I hope they came up with a solution for the snow. LEDs are seemingly too efficient for this use case. http://boingboing.net/2009/12/17/led-traffic-lights-d.html

Feedback on my sub-$300 HTPC Build

If the purpose is only to watch movies and surf the internet, why would you need a quad core CPU and 8GB of RAM? Just about anything with a modern GPU can hardware decode 1080P video. And smartphone CPUs are fast enough to surf the web. I would think the focus should be to make the build as low...

Your current PC still seems pretty awesome. Why do you call it slow? You'd probably feel differently if you upgraded your storage to an SSD.
