I went from watercooled 980 TI SLI to a single watercooled 1080TI and I don't feel the need for anything more. I play on triple 1440 and so far nothing can make the 1080 ti flinch.
Water is still bettar :P What are people being able to push these things too anyway? I've had mine for like 2 months and still running stock simply because I haven't run into a game it cant handle at 7880x1440.
I went from SLI 980 TI to a single 1080 TI and while in theory I lost a bit of power, games are much smoother overall now with a single card. I play on triple 1440, which is basically double 4k res.
Even playing Destiny 2 at 7880x1440 I had 0 hitches and the game looks amazing. (the open beta)
This is why i stopped using ebay. There's too many scammers. I just sold my 2 980ti cards here for much less than I could have gotten on ebay, simply because ebay is nothing but scamming douches anymore.
2 Evga 980ti SC backplate cards.
Have spent their entire lives watercooled.
EK full cover Titan blocks.
275 per card with air cooler
350 per card with water blocks
buy both cards and water blocks and i'll throw in the bridge.
Bridge is for a 2 slot.
Shipping is on you because i got burned...
Ok so I finally gave in and went to Windows 10 when my 8.1 install crapped the bed. Everything seems fine, but I'm having constant issues trying to switch between surround and extended. It seems like half the time I have to go back in and actually use the nvidia control panel to turn surround...
Turn off a few lights in your house.
Run the AC a few degrees warmer.
Get solar panels.
I'm sorry but gaming computers are not the problem.
I run a 4770k at 4.5ghz with SLI 980 Ti and kept my AC at 74 degrees all last month. The power company owed me 9 bucks this month.
