Does anyone here have experience with vinyl dye? I want to know if it will hurt circuitry. I've seen several forums prove that you can spray paint your stuff and as long as you let it dry long enough it doesn't hurt anything. Just seeing if anyone knows if this will work with dyes.

I'd give it a try Bob, buy a piece of spare acrylic at Home Depot (around $2-3) and the Etcher ($20). Give it a shot (A tutorial can be found earlier in the thread) and see how it comes out. If you don't like it or don't think you can do it, return the etcher and you're only down $2-3.

What I did was print it out mirrored, and tape it to the opposite side. Then I just made sure to have good lighting and the rest is simple tracing.

That's exactly what I have and the regular bit is fine, acrylic is very strong in tensile strength but it's very soft, you'll have no problems with the regular bit. Make sure to post pictures if you decide to give it a try! :)
