dang, I don't have another "regular" monitor to test it out on. On a similar note, re-inserting parts like power cables, memory, etc, all seem to fix 80% of computer problems. What is the reason? Re-inserting them gets rid of the "bad electricity?"

In a way, a large screen size is the same as a smaller screen size because having a larger screen requires you sitting farther back, thus making it the same size to your eye as sitting closer to a smaller screen size! Do you understand at what I'm getting at? :D

I want to use a 50"+ LCD monitor or TV as my main computer monitor for web browsing, Photoshop, movies, and some gaming I was wondering...since the 50"+ monitors are most likely 1080p (1920x1080) and the much smaller 24" monitors are also the same pixel count...won't the 50"+ monitors look...

And what is your reasoning For me, I love tool-less. Convenient, fast, and makes you more more likely to upgrade. The only con I can see is that it's more likely for people to steal your parts but that's pretty unlikely to start with.

Hmm, the "hair" isn't near the edge. It's more in the center so I don't know how a hair can travel that far in... I sprayed an LCD cleaning fluid on it and it appears to go right over the "hair" So it's not a scratch.

Ok Well, is it a dead or stuck pixel? I went into Photoshop and drew a 1px pure-black line and that's much darker than the "dead pixels"

I transported my monitor from Ohio to Chicago in my car and when I turned it on, I found out this hairline of dead pixels has appeared! Is this fixable? How did this happen? I taped a piece of cardboard over the front to prevent such a thing!

What's the best software to copy my entire OS (currently Win 7 RC) and back it up on my external hard drive? And let's say it was Vista, would I need to re-activate it? If not, then what's stopping people from making copies upon copies on different hard drives and giving away free OS's? Thanks

What's the best method? Buy one of those adhesives? I personally can't trust them. The thief can just grab the computer and use its weight to swing free from the adhesive. I go pretty DIY. A thick bike chain through the expansion slots, secured with a master lock, anchored to my computer desk...

Then where's a good place for monitors?
