Just got the EVGA 55nm GTX 260 in the mail and I have to say, I am impressed!
It came with FarCry 2 packaged and I must say.. this card looks amazing aesthetically.
Performance wise, I have only played COD4 multiplayer so far... Hardly ever dips below 60FPS with all settings on absolute...
War Machine PCs look pretty sweet and they sell the case separately!

What do you guys think? Is it worth the $299? It's not too bad considering the CM Stacker retails for like $250
I couldn't agree more. I work at a IT help desk and all my co-workers complain about how "slow" Vista is when it runs just fine on my 4 yr old laptop and it gets destroyed by pretty much anyone's system on this website. The security is very good and I actually like the UI changes. The search...
I just got my 2208 yesterday and i'm very happy with it.
I had and returned a Gateway HD2200 (SUCKS) and bought the 2208WFP for 30 bucks less online..
The image quality is very good, but then again I'm not very picky about it being a TN panel or viewing angles and whatever else people...
for "data parts" like hard drives and dvd drives, i usually have dedicated "rails" (or wires) plugged into them rather than having one rail hooked up to other things as well
do the 4/8 pin motherboard rail, the 24 pin motherboard rail next,
i usually have all my fans either plugged directly...
I'd get the $799 one because the decrease in CPU speed is negligible, more hard drive space, same ram.
if you're looking to spend $1100, you could get a phat dell for around that price with an T8300+ intel core 2 duo which will kill those turionx2's. i'd spend around $900-1000 and make sure...
first computer i ever built was...
AMD Athlon X2 5200+
2x1gb Amp X DDR2 RAM
asus m2n-sli deluxe motherboard
xfx 7950GT extreme
heh.. wasn't that long ago at all. i think i'm obsessed with building/updating
my gear.. it's taken quite a toll on my wallet.
i really miss my xfx card...
I believe the E8400 has some temp sensor issues. I have almost the exact same idle/load temps, yet the temp on the actual CPU (not the cores) is much lower.
In Everest, I get 25C on the CPU temp yet I get 42C on both cores.
In Core Temp, I also get 42C on both cores.
Don't worry, the...
I have owned both but I'm using my E8400 now because it's lighter on power consumption (~100W idle at 3.8ghz compared to ~240W at 3.6ghz). Gaming wise, I haven't noticed a big difference because no matter what, your GPU will limit frame rate first. IMO, by the time games will make quad cores...
Got my tax return today :D
I'm looking for a monitor in the $300-400 range that has HDMI input, audio output and is 1080P. I was looking at the BenQ G2400W for 389 and the V7 D24W33.. I'm wondering if anyone has either of these and if they do, how they like it?
What recommendations do you...
hello, i'm a newbie here.
SECC steel is tough but not impossible to cut through. I cut out a few holes in my Antec 900 motherboard tray with a Dremel 300 equipped with a reinforced cutting disc. Someone else mentioned getting cutting discs at mnpctech.com and I'd recommend the same.
My...
