Just noticed a problem when using a composite source fo picture in picture (PIP). Once selected with the source cable attached the screen brightness increases and I am sure I am seeing a flickering. Have had to plug it into the monitor (A Dell) next to it instead.

Just a sidenote. The USB hub appears to work even if you turn the monitor off. I know this because I have a backup schedule that works overnight and with the monitor turned off the backup still succeeds via USB to an external hard disk. Pretty cool though I am unsure how this affects power...

Unlikely. If I got mine for £428 delivered with no discounts I'd say the US price is close. You get things cheaper in the US too and have plenty of discounts compared to the UK.
