i know it's an old thread, but in case more people run into this...
the fist technique doesnt make sense, it's like you have to use your knees to hold the monitor from sliding towards you
it came out for me with constant pulling & wiggling
as for the bleed issues, that's likely PLS glow, the...
people act like you can just magically hire someone like it's manual labor, show me all the skilled people that can write a driver? even open source is a mess
open amd's job board, you'll see A LOT of job openings, so are there enough capable people to move into amd's offices?
what amd really...
ouch this article... & this thread.... only some people are correct
no mention of triple buffering is extremely disappointing, almost like nvidia told people to not mention it
there's a big difference between 60, 30, 60, 30, 30, 60, 30, 60, 30, 30, 60, 60, 30, 60, 30, 60, 30, 30, 60 & a solid...
exactly what i'm thinking too, i dont get where people got their crazy ideas, they sound like they forgot what triple buffering is
if the monitor has 60hz ticks, there's no way around the stutters, which are hardly more annoying than the tearing itself especially when you're at like 58fps
uhh that's comparing what 'creative writing classes teach against', not the quality of the work itself, come on
i never understood why it matters if you dont get to play a game in 1 day or 5 days, the game was ready weeks ago so what's the difference? the only release date issue is when pieces...
look at the CF best practices docs, the drives DOES scale by default unless it detects what it thinks are operations that need to be duplicated per gpu
i've seen various games that scale without any profile or tweaking (railworks, section8 prejudice barely, usually every source engine game or...
you can pick what hard drive to use on xbox, you just have to carefully open the proprietary enclosure without breaking it
i hope you know you have to pay for online
plus AA doesnt interfere with you playing out of the box, & SC2 AA also hits nv, just not as hard
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/skyrim-performance-benchmark,3074-9.html game can easily get cpu limited, so there's no way there will be 100% gpu usage on more than 1 gpu
protip1: who cares about gpu usage as long as you're scaling in CF/SLI (or not dipping below 60), a somewhat light weight game like this is gonna hit cpu limits, it's not like crysis or metro that will actually use up 100% for dual gpus
protip2: CCC's vsync option is only for opengl, brent or...
how can a site like hardocp not mention the fact that triple buffering is lacking? there are 100s of dx games (& even apps like d3doverrider) that work just fine with vsync without dropping to 30fps
also megatextures appeared in ETQW first, tech4
barely any titles exist, only doom3 &...
ati + fraps recording opengl = slow (doesnt matter if framerate is set to not locked, or if you record at 30 or 60 or any specific fps)
it's been like this for years, back when i tried doom3/aquadelicgt/etqw on an x800 or 9800pro & really old versions of fraps, it was locked to 15 or 10fps then...
regarding the opengl issues after 10.4, there seem to be 2 major things i'm seeing & i have no idea how far into single cards or newer cards the issues reach
first, i ran into games that do NOT get fixed by using atioglxx, but by using atigktxx...
look closer, the right half of the trunk below the mercedez logo is aliased & the diagonal pole holding the traffic light is also aliased & weird looking due to the depth blur cutting corners (not full rez, additional blur) so it can be fast enough ;)
also why would you think fxaa was doing...
you have to state what games you want to play
the core2 issue is for dx9, but you can workaround it by opening crysis dx10, core2 gets stuck in 3d, now play your dx9 games, open bc2 or fc2 & when exited, core2 will go back to 2d
windowed games dont get CF or 3d core speeds, though it might be...
what a weird series of posts... i've been installing overtop for 2yrs, & if you want, you can uninstall & driverclean on both ati or nv
although.. noticed a side effect of overtop, the windows repository keeps all those versions, so uninstalling is the same as rolling back, instead of standard...
RWCJr, all beta drivers dont have the cat version # in them, so it displays a previously installed version
what matters is the driver version, for example i'm 10.2 which is 8.702-100202 (feb 2, 2010)
xeddex, do you have firefox open by any chance? ever since i got 3.6, SOMETIMES games lower...
i install (catalysts) overtop, no cleaning no uninstalling drivers
the need to update depends on the games (but when why would you have an x2 if you're not playing new/demanding/bug fixed games)
the low level area only does it to 1 core? are you sure? (does the riva graph show 1 core at your OC setting & the other one at stock when launching a 3d app?)
what about CCC's overdrive
epic only has gears & ut3, & it's only gears2 that's only on xbox
ut3 pc has gotten a lot of free content from epic, plus they push http://www.makesomethingunreal.com
of course.. none of that is linux (or does ut3 have a capability?)
no, dont look at CCC, as it shows the back gpu (the hotter one) core temp ONLY
i use rivatuner, but everest i think is the same
here is me leaving my fan too low & running RE5 bench
article should be updated to mention cat9.7 has a CF profile
there is a typo in 'material quality' that calls the medium image as 'low'
old?? fix?? cat9.6 was packaged before juarez was released, as was fuel (which had a flicker issue)
way to completely ignore the monthly driver releases, &...
