It is also a round trip delay.
Server to TV, I react, move cursor, press fire button, back to server. So, I pay that delay penalty twice in terms of user experience.
People in Paradise wanted to live in a forest- their private forest. California is going to burn - we can just try to manage where and when. The two season rain pattern, combined with very dry summers and wind patterns between the cold Pacific and the hot interior, results in heavy fuel loads...
Do you get any error when trying to play the movie? Or does it just downscale?
Edit 1 :I am thinking it is the active adaptor, but not sure why it is content specific. Does it stream Amazon movies to your normal computer display?
When Starlink gets deployed, it should be ideal for real rural internet connections. Not so good for near suburbs, since you will be sharing with potentially too many people in the area.

At these prices, I am unlikely to buy anyway. However, if every other site has reviews a month earlier than H, there will be less traffic reading the review.
Costco is going to have the Samsung 6290 40" HDTV for $299 again before Black Friday. Makes a nice, cheap, 4k Monitor.
There are endless threads on this in the Display forum.
Picked up one last year and will probably buy another one for the work computer this time.
This is interesting.
My post-Steam gaming breaks down into two sets of game styles and fear of addiction.
1. The ones I can play on autopilot late at night - almost always some single player scrimmage thing
Sins of a Solar Empire = 1,370 hours
Rise of Nations = 572 hours
Civ 5 = 304 hours...
My eyes have had some bad things happen to them and the windows scaling is more about eye strain than PPI sharpness- I don't run at 100% normally because the small text is too much strain when looking from corner to corner when coding. I will crank it down when debugging to me see more...
I went cheap last Black Friday with a Samsung 40" HDTV to use as a dev/gaming monitor driven by a 1080, replacing a 3 screen mixed 27"/24" setup under Windows 10.
I like it much better after some adjustment period. I do tend to adjust the windows scaling depending on what I am doing...
Because of my desk, I am sitting 2.5 feet away. Adapted really quickly moving from a 27" to this. Would have problems moving back to a smaller monitor now, even after using this for only three weeks.
Still trying to decide if I need DisplayFusion or AquaSnap to manage the screen real estate...
Sins Of A Solar Empire - 1301 hours over 6 years. It is the game I play when I don't want to think too hard :).
Borderlands 2 - 654 hours since 2013.
and a ton of games between 50-150 hours.
I am confused. So, are they having your PC connect to their localish servers, which then try to see if they have a faster route between their servers than I would get direclty over the internet? And faster then use their proxy?
The Gigabyte 1080 boards have a new Rev 2 - same part number
GeForce® GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Premium Pack 8G
and the new one
GeForce® GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Premium Pack 8G (rev. 2.0)
When i asked their support what was different, the answer was "I just asked the VGA Marketing and they said...

It looks like the 40" is going to be $290 at Costco starting Nov. 18. It looks like this years model, but they are not showing model numbers in the leaked ads.
Share what lines? Crappy copper? MSO cable plant? This made sense back in the early DSL days, but it wouldn't buy consumers much of anything at this point.
Zero. This is Google looking at where they are spending their money and what they are getting for it. Building a physical plant is a whole different, much worse, business to be in than cloud oriented businesses. Lots of dollars and time spent to just split up the market with the incumbents...
AT&T has been changing from DSL to Fiber in most markets, including san antonio. Ther fiber crews are usually contract and AT&T may not be controlling their work schedules.
I assume the trenching is in the right of way, which you pay taxes on, but don't control...
That is the default behavior and is how my setup works.
27" and 24" LCDs, extended desktop between monitors.
When i run a game, it runs on the Primary monitor only.
Intel made a major tactical mistake back in teh day when they killed off the StrongArm/xScale division because the PC chip people won the internal fight about the future.
they were wrong.
