I saw this post and picked up the game. I love it. Well worth it. A DRM free copy, and a steam key.
You can tell this game was made with the real love, care, and passion.
Interesting read.
Being the guy everyone tried to leech off in college, I would have been the one who lead the group, then offered to bring the paper to the professor, and just as I handed it in crossed everyone's name off the page but mine and watched them scramble to get another answer in...
The playstation plus section on the playstation websites contains the current offered free games. I wouldn't know where to find a list of all previously offered free games if that is what you were looking for.
That only applies to the free games. Any games purchased at a discount, other than 100% off or free, are yours to keep regardless of subscription status. But, that is probably what you meant to convey.
As mentioned several times already, all they needed to do was make a game that had co-op.
Don't really want to play Elder Scrolls with tons of random people. I would however like to share my world with a few close friends.
EDIT: I've also never had an urge to play ES in third person.
They haven't made it onto Steam yet. The sale is to get the games noticed and their ranks up on Steam Greenlight, so they get put onto Steam.
When / If they make the cut and get onto Steam, they'll send you a Steam code.
Each of Arkane's games have been a bit clunky and have had outdated graphics. There's nothing new there. That said, each of their games have been some of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, even with all the quirks, bugs, old graphics, etc.
If you've opened up the shortcut / bonfire right near the exit from the archives to the forest you can just run all the way to him. Sprint to the crystal caves, run down the crystal, turn, sprint around the Crystal Golem. Get to the invisible walkways, learn where they are, and just sprint...
I like the game very much so far. While the comparisons to GTA make sense, the story and such seems to vibe more with Mafia 2 for me which, content/time constraints aside, I absolutely loved.
When the game first came out on consoles I had the same issue: There is another path. At Firelink, facing the ruins, investigate areas between 3 and 6 o'clock.
The board isn't that cheap without purchasing selected processors, the 965 being one of them. Still a good deal if you need both, but you can't just get the board at that price.

Pretty much feel the same way. The last shooter I played and thoroughly enjoyed the single player of was Battlefield : Bad Company 2. I'm not sure why, to be honest, as there wasn't anything particularly wonderful about it, but I did play through it three times in a row. Most FPS I can't even...
They say it would fracture the market, but I still don't understand why they can't just force all games that pass through licensing to have a control scheme that doesn't need the second stick. Reject the game if it doesn't have the base control scheme. Then you don't end up with a divided...
I can't describe to you the feeling of "beating" that game only to get to the end and have it pull that crap. Think you beat it and then it laughs at you and makes you have to start over with more, and seemingly faster, monsters.
I've only ever beaten that game, completely, once. I don't...
Anyone find a set of monitors that work well with any of these monitors in PLP (Same vertical resolution when turned sideways, matching visible screen size)? Doesn't seem to be a common screen size and resolution any more.
Grabbed the Auria 27" 2560x1440 LCD from Microcenter today. No stuck/dead pixels I can find. The bottom right corner has a bit of backlight bleed, but is only noticeable on dark screens and is far less than the bleed on my other monitors so it doesn't bother me.
I love the screen real-estate...
Lowering droprates won't do anything to stop the economy from tanking when there isn't a constant stream of items being destroyed. It will just take longer for it to happen.
It's not a totally broken bug as they did put some handling in there for in case that happens. Obviously they didn't completely prevent clipping through the meshes and falling, but it seems they at least handled what happens if you fall too far below the world, as the character appeared to...
This is true to an extent. It is just like any other programming if all you are doing is the programming aspect of it. But, in reality, unless you are working with a team of people, you are going to have to handle all aspects of game creation, which can be daunting. It encompasses a whole lot...
I'm playing through KoA now, and it feels like it was meant to be an MMO, they just forgot to add the extra players. It plays just like a fantasy MMO, but with some twists to the combat and stat system.
That is quite an investment for a government to make into the games sector, especially as...
I've been using XNA and C# for my side project and it's been a fun experience. It allows me to focus on the programming without having to get to in depth into handling the graphics, but still leaves enough room for growth where there's always something new for me to learn.
I don't like how I...
Doesn't bother me if it sucks if he is doing something he enjoys and / or something different. I'd rather a game that took a chance and flopped than a game that didn't take any chances. Some of my favorite games were those that took big chances. As much as I've enjoyed recent COD, I can't tell...
Yeah, We've got two iOS devices. I use two separate Apple ID's for personal contact stuff (iCloud and such), and share a third Apple ID for the App store.
If you go into it expecting that you would probably be disappointed. While it has some RPG aspects, it is essentially a medieval combat simulator. You have many different weapons at your disposal and can fight on foot or on horseback. There is also an overworld / city / economy management...
A lot of game companies outsource for models. They could have outsourced and this is what the contractor made them. It's on them to check if anything they take in though.
As much as I dislike EA, I can't see an upper telling a modeler to just rip designs from another company. I can see a...
You should be able to route the cable under the notch in the graphics card beside the pci-e slots. I've ran that cable there on several rigs and yielded a much cleaner look than putting it in front of the cards.
Bindings won't be natural. They work for WoW because of the lack of necessary precision: timing a rotation is more important than getting in a specific position, dodging the enemy, and/or perfectly timing a riposte.
Much of the difficulty of the Souls games comes from getting the timing of...
The movement isn't as much an issue as the need for a comfortable mapping for the two left and two right attacks. While playable, I can't see modifiers being as natural as the four shoulder buttons.
