    Recommend me a 24" LCD please? :)

The NEC 2490WUXi is not wide-gamut, it only covers the sRGB colorspace.

    a little help deciding

"best choice" depends on what your wishes are. What are you looking for in a new monitor.

LG announces one 22" and two 24" IPS monitors

Even that makes no sense, because the W2220P is apparently 1920*1200 as well.

    Need monitor recommendations

No, I'd say that for "normal" people it is actually preferable. Those values represent the sRGB color space; nearly everything on your computer is represented in sRGB. If you take a wide-gamut screen (that covers more of the Adobe RGB and NTSC color space) you'll have to accept that colors...

    Need monitor recommendations

The HP LP2475w is a wide-gamut screen, which causes the more saturated colors in non-color managed applications (such as games). With your budget I'd go for the NEC LCD2490WUXi, it's a H-IPS screen that covers the sRBG color space and generally considered one of the best LCD screens that is...

    Just ordered Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP

It very much depends on the person using it. I had a 2408wfp and I never really noticed the input lag. I returned it for other reasons though. Very uneven backlight and the fact that it cannot be calibrated properly in sRGB mode.

    Just ordered Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP

The A00 I used to have had a label mentioning A00. But if you ordered a new one you can be pretty sure it's an A01.

    New Dell screen

Oh darn it! yet another TN screen. As if there were enough of those. I like the 1920*1080 resolution on a 22" though.

    New Dell screen

I'm hoping that it will be the 23" version of the eIPS screen they're offering, with a 1920*1080 or 1280 resolution. Configuration-wise it would fit perfectly, an upscale system with an upscale display.

    New Dell screen

After lurking for a long time I finally found a reason to register at this forum. Today Dell launched a new Studio XPS system. In their promotional shots it comes with a display that I can't find on the Dell website. It looks like it is a stylish 22" with a built-in webcam and a Apple Cinema...
