Gave my 3570k to one of my kids and running a 3770k now so may well do that for awhile yet
I will just wait and see how the oc's come in
Fair dollar to change over and price vs performance is my hold back...
I have "blue" one(blue sw`s and lighting) and at least you can get into the bios with it on MSI Mpower with it
If that was a concern to some
My Newer CM storm trigger with brown switches y need a second keyboard to get in.
Maybe with the competitors boards we only think we are changing the power phase options they provide there.....
Maybe with competitors boards may be on an Auto setting in reality ........ even when another nomenclature is displayed
With this board no doubt that Auto as you say does an...
This motherboard seems Very good so far.
Stable and decent overclocks.
Can't complain about that.
"One thing I don't like about this board is the lack of manual phase control options. You can't actually control this other than to set control to disabled or automatic" end quote from article...
Bought a lot of Asus boards but not so now even z67,z77 weren't up to par
Gigabyte or MSI (latest)
Seem to have less issues with newer bios styles(ufei)
I think a lot of what gets bought depends on how bad the last board was and unfortunately for it how good ones memory is with its...
Thanks you for the help appreciate it.:D

Got one of my daughters an MSI Z77 G41, real cheap board as you people know, gave her my old 2500k and dialed in .4.4ghz and tested really quick
Its no where near a pro board but boy it works
I must try one of these M77 the goat eater featured

the fan I mentioned available at newegg for a 2nd fan(for use in a push/pull configuration) can even be used on the 212 EVO as the primary fan.
It is the original one for used the hyper 212+ cpu cooler and strangely enough has better rating for the rad.
If you go by coolermasters specs.
Should...
2nd fan? get it at new egg.com if you out of Canada
COOLER MASTER R4-BMBS-20PK-R0 Blade Master
This is the same one as the original hyper 212+
I have a few of these
PWM as well. can ramp speed up and down with load.
you can y adapter them or like my board has 2nd cpu fan pwm plugin

For what its worth:
Just been playing with a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 cpu cooler package and found that the Coolermaster 212 EVO cpu cooler is just as good really on my rig
The fans on the Noctua do not go as fast as coolermaster blademasters and can't run PWM either.
Its just not the same cfm I...
Exactly correct about voltage and any setting in relation to it
No you can't just import anothers settings I never typed you could.
However if one took the substance out of the first series of posts from the Asus reps findings one can glean a "few similarities" albeit with some unintended...
For my sig(4.7) haven't needed the cpu capability at 140% , just plain ole 100%. load line high. each core set to 47. and i use different voltage settings. mem 2t.As for cpu PLL i don't use near that... thats pretty high start off 1.70 max. mines at 1.56
Maybe you got the wrong bios file I wouldn't know.
I use this one here off this Asus link
It is correct for my board.
I wouldn't know your boards model/specifics

I also modded the P280 and installed Antec tricools in the top case positions and their 3 position switches fit in the rear built in two cool switch holder.
Their power is derived from extra molex connector.
On each corner of the tricools I intalled a small length of black self stick...
After modding my P180B and cleaning up the wiring I bought one of these P280 cases today
Nice case.
Very Quiet even on high.
Nice layouts for grommets and wire openings !!
I appreciate the Asus Techs findings and comments
For most overclocks you don't need the current capability above 100% either.
I noticed he illustrated even at 48x bios screenies no change was made.
here is an old p180B Removing alternate slats on the front intake grilles really helped a lot on airflow they were to restrictive as they are supplied
Cabling even routed better Now:
the before it wasn't bad I had cleaned it up and moved hard drives to bottom cage but wiring still...
One item I did do which helped quite a bit since I have the P180B Antec case.
I moved the hard drives to the lowest chamber ahead of the power supply in the pull out mount chamber which is actually for hard drives mounted vertically
There is a tricool fan in the lower chamber ahead of the...
