Are there any other games besides ARMA 2 that see any signifigant improvements from a C2Q -> i7 upgrade? I read somewhere the improvement was around 20% in ARMA 2, which is quite good, but the game is not fun for me... will games in the future likely benefit from the upgrade as much, or more?
Could not agree more. In 2006 I cringed as I saw the Wii was a gamecube with a remote, but I had as much fun playing mario Galaxy as I did playing Super mario 64.
PS3 and the 360 are in no-mans-land if you ask me. If you want a fun games different from the norm go with a Wii, if you want...
I know people have talked about this on here, but is there a guide or site i can go that has all the info on getting my USB logitech mouse to run smoothly? The movement is jerky and it ruins the game.
Easier and cheaper are the only two reasons. If you ever want to play with your IRL friends (crazy concept, right?) you're pretty much forced to play on a console.
Call of duty isn't too bad on a console because it's extremely linear, and not extensive. So playing on a console or a PC, youre...
I had a radeon 9200 se (so not too far behind your card) until i finally upgraded a month ago. I played battlefield vietnam, it wasnt competitive at all, but that's what made it fun imo.
The card played any source game exceptionally well for how old it was, so give L4D and TF2 a try.
Uhm, he has a valid point? Think of the percentage of money the PC port makes compares to the console version of any game. The consoles are how they make money, spending two weeks porting the game to run on windows is only worth-while if they're going to make more buyers than loose them, and...
Bough an HIS 4890 and the memory started failing a week after arrival. Sent it back a month ago and still haven't got it back yet... not to mention the missing 30 dollar rebate. I would never buy from them again.
Idle around 50, doenst usually get much higher than 70...
Is there anything I can toy around with, as far as drivers go? or is that likely not the problem.
Here is a picture of my desktop...
This doesn't happen all the time, only once in a while. Games run fine and smooth, and there are no video problems during games, just when on my desktop...
The problems started a week ago, Every 5-10 seconds the display would just go completely blank...
got a deal for a MSI 4890 from a friend for 200 bucks and got a good deal of selling my eVGA 280, for 245. So knowing that i could use the extra 45 bucks, are the gains worth keeping the 280? Crysis warhead is the same, as benchmarks say, but games down the line? Heat and power usage are also a...
Okay, well I've switched the card to the other SLI port on my mobo, and It will play crysis for about a 5 or 10 minutes beautifully with no problems, then, randomly, shuts off. No Blue screen of death, just no input to my monitor. Is it a bad card for sure? It can't be the power supply if it...
Dang-it... Sorry to keep posting in my own thread, but after taking the card out, putting it back in, it booted up fine for a total of 4 minutes, then the minitor said "No display" again...
ah!
