Lol, tried supplying it with 1.5 on VCore and pushed NB to 1.24 then raised the FSB to 310.
It boot up! Then it crashed. Bios said something about hypertransport flooding error. So I decreased HTT multiplier to x5 making it 1550. Sadly it won't boot up anymore. BUT it's posting though so that's...
Now that you've mentioned it, I remember the max multiplier for HTT is x8. I'll try to lower it in my next OC session if it yields something. Also will there be a good/bad effect if I raise the NB voltage?
Well, sadly anything over 300 FSB, the system wont POST. I dunno if its the ram or heat or the mobo.
I'm currently checking some online sites for good OCable DDR2 RAMS, so any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Hi all,
Anyone tried fitting this cases with Corsair H50 water cooling kits?
Also will there be an adverse effect if i reversed the air flows (cool air coming in from front instead of back)?
Just recently bought 1 and not modded yet. Front panel closed gives me 44C idle and when open gives...
So far the 3.3GHz is stable @ 1.42Vcore. Dragon Age Origins loves quad cores it really shows up if the system is stable or not. Will try to tweak the settings and push some more.
Uh, can I post this here?
Athlon x2 5000 dual core unlocked to Phenom FX-5000 quad core
CACZ AC Stepping 0938
stock core is 2.2GHZ
currently OCed @ 3.3GHz
OCCT and Prime95 stable for 6.5 hours and going strong.
lol probably. its been selling like hotcakes here in my country for the past few weeks.
and yeah, probably a Phenom II 925 with failed IMC for DDR3 since it CACZ AC. or probably a Phenom II 920 that didn't meet the x14 multiplier mark.
If your talking about the 2.6GHz Brisbane/Windsor variations, they can't. The new x2 5000 are clocked at 2.2GHz.
Here's the corner of the box:
And here's the chip/code:
According to CPU-z the unlocked version is Phenom FX-5000 Deneb (45 nm) so I think it is Phenom II.
Also L3 cache is 6MB so Phenom II would perfectly fit.
Just posted it here to get some ideas on how to fine tune it and squeeze some more juice from it.
