Apple is a POS brand that yuppies cling to as if it's a 'culture' so they can put a stupid 'apple' sticker' on their car & feel special & smart as if their CHINA slave labour products make them less 'douchy'. It's no surprise that they also fall for the overpriced 'NIKE' crap too. Buy a real...
First performance card was a 9800 PRO & flashed to XT 128MB & it kicked A$$!!! At the time, nVidia was struggling with the FX series & they sucked BALL$. After that I had the X850-XT which I OC'd to beyond XT Paltinum & then flashed the card to those speeds once it was tested OK. Then the...
en..sounds like the guy wants to sell stuff but doesn't want to take the small hit & admit his mistake to keep his trading name good:
1. On a $400+ ITEM, you should never call it 'NEW' or 'LIKE NEW' if the functionality or appearance has been modified or even slightly changed in any way. An...
DMA sounds like a hard disk or CD/DVD-ROM error of some sort. Try disconnecting all drives & see if it at least boots to a BIOS screen. If that helps, one of your drives are not responding & holding up the boot process while the BIOS tries to identify the bad drive. Could also be a SATA/IDE...
EDIT -- To be fair, my rants about MSI are due to my experiences only with their bottom rung MATX boards but they have been plagued with bad caps & flaky BIOSes, even on top teir offerings & they skimp on parts, in my opinion, especially the PWM components --
Sorry to say MSI are JUNK...
It's like selling a mustang 5.0L, brand new & then getting a Mustang 5.0 with the engine changed out to a 6cyl bio-deisel that has no pick-up & you as a seller expect us to be so stupid as to buy your con.....epic fail & why are you responding under a different name now or did the original post...

Yup, another seller who'll take your cash in a huury & then take their sweet time getting off their fat a$$es to make the deal good, if at all & then blames the buyer for being impatient & pushy if the ask about their purchase. There should be a wall of shame where traders can go to see a list...
PayPal works well for claims & anyone who complains about PayPal, IMHO, is a sloppy seller/buyer who didn't take the time to do a proper invoice transaction for 'goods' & keep record of the communications between parties. Make sure you both agree on insured shipping & confirmation & include it...
yeah, that blows!! I'd be extremely angry & on a 'RAMPAGE'!!! If you pay 300+ bucks for a board that is the heart of your custom build & have to pester & argue for fair treatment while your aging system sits in a closet for months waiting for a decent replacement, after multiple RMA's, that...
What about mag-lev fans? My FSP Kingcraft 1000 is a great PSU but the 80mm-ball bearing fan was loud & rattled too. The ball bearings roll around & make lots of noise & there's nothing wrong with them. That's where you get the 'card in the spokes' noise. As the spindle rotates, the bearings...
If you can find a cheap OC P45 board, it'll OC the crap outta that Q6600 & might be worth it if you can get 1 for 75 bucks or less. You have to be an experienced OC'er & ahve some pricey 775 cooling if you want to make it worth the effort tho.
I'll bet that the second hotter card has it's HS slightly lifted or the thermal compound wasn't applied as well, etc or the revision of the GPU is different, etc. These variances in manufacturing happen all the time & most don't notice, even with identical cards in cross-fire. You could try to...
8GB should be good for close to max settings with a modern card, at least a gtx 580. 12 GB would give you sufficeint room to do a few things in the background too but 8GB would be your sweet spot for performance.
heyya, =)
I'm wondering how rare the CELLSHOCK stuff is. What are the production numbers for their stuff & how does it compare to OCZ, Corsair, GEIL, etc?
I know this question is 'out there' but I'm hoping someone may know production numbers or have general knowledge of Cell Shock memory.
Heyya, all...
I have an old school question dating back to the Socket 478 days. I've got my hands on an old DFI LanParty PRO875B & was wondering what CPU's are the highest overclockers & have the best steppings. etc?
Cna anyone help me out with suggestions??
Thanx,
OC :D
multpiple heats - BIG NO-NO!!
If you commit to a trade on certain terms, you must follow through or risk negative feedback & troll labels...period. Trades are always risky, no mattter who the traders are. Even if the heat is impeccable, you may have different expectations than the other...
My vote goes to the DFI UT-NF4-SLI-DR EXPERT or VENUS. The Venus version was the EXPERT board with the Jewel Case, solid caps & deluxe bundle & only 1000 were made for the 25th anniversay of DFI being in business. edit -- yes, that's 1 thousand unit made world-wide. =) -- end edit
bump...en...just tell Fuganater you're waiting for more 'high-end' buyers who have more tact & don't needlessly thread-crap with useless opinions about what is 'high-end' & what isn't...=P X79 is High-End. Don't let anyone else tell you different....
Peace!!!
No PayPal, no sale. If you are a solid seller, PayPal shouldn't be an issue at all. I've had nothing but success with PayPal & only sloppy sellers get burnded by PayPal & they deserve it. I have no sympathy for a seller who sells junk or doesn't ship it well packed against damage. Then they...
CEpeep: This is a for sale forum, NOT ebay.....You want to have zero risk, go to eBay....You want a better deal, you have to be smart & cover your butt in any transaction, period. Why do you think the deals here are much better than eBay,,,,no fees to post which would be if you expect the mods...
PayPal will get your money back. You just have to go through the right steps & of course, don't go outside the [H]ard forum rules by doing money requests or gift payments. If you do, you get scammed. I've been ripped off now three times & got my money back from PayPal because I keep track of...
In more condensed terms, the JonnyGuru article & the Anandtech review described the PSU in question as a CoolerMaster designed, ganged regulated unit that had a single 80amp 12v rail which gave adequate but not outstanding performance with a voltage sag within spec, once you get close to...
I guess you were there in the design room then.....& also there when JonnyGuru made the call to CollerMaster & TEHY ALL MADE IT UP TOO!!! Ok, buddy. Big 'L' for you, pal.
Well, if you read the article, you would know that they called up CoolerMaster & enquired & found out it is NOT an FSP design but a CoolerMaster original. So , yeah I do know how these things work & you won't admit I';m right so, whatever. I'm not being hostile about it at all. Also...
I guess I, JonnyGuru & Anandtech are ALL "making it up" then & quotes from reputable hardware review sites mean nothing, I guess. Have it your way, buddy. I give upi trying to point anything out since no-one wants to believe me or give me some credit for kowing what I'm talking about. Thanx. =)
sure. I do understand...I just don't like being told I made somthing up & when I say: I didn't make it up", It's not an invitation to paint me as if I did & I'll probably get a little wordy with people & point their mistake out. I don't feel I owe any pleasantries after being acused of lying...
If there is some significant benfit to having the caps on the end of the cables then purpose build & integrate them into the plastic connector itself. The electrical circuit can remain identical with the cap embedded inside the connector. Make it a solid cap of some sort & build it properly...
oops! I didn't mean to turn this thread into a debate about CoolerMaster PSU's. I just mentioned them as a good buy too but got challenged for it. Sorry...Anybody know why the goofy electrolytics on the ATX cable, etc? That 1 aspect alone will never see my money spent there. ToughPower was...
Hey Zero82z: Are you talking about this JonnyGuru article? I read it too & researched this PSU before I bought it.
http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=166
& I quote directly from the article:
....AHA! Finally, the markings on the side of the transformer...
