I have a client that recently needed to replace his SBS server with 2k3 standard because he is setting up some sort of backup server he can hot swap to if the current one dies. To make a long story short everything is working fine on the new server but he wants to get email or see reports like...
I went to the bestbuy at 7:45 AM and was number 30 in line if you count all the people. The manager came out and said they had 30 systems but was only allowing 1 per household. So I was ticket number 20. It sounds like some of the other bestbuys were jerks about the ticket system.
Bestbuy opens at 10am this Sunday right? Guess maybe I will get there early too. Anyone know how many best buy had on average at launch. I don't want to wait in line for a few hours if I don't think I might get one.
I got to my closest gamestop at 6:35 and I was 7th in line. They opened the doors at 7am let us all in and then I find out they only got 4. I waited till the 5th person got up there just to be sure. Target was sold out near me and the Toys R' us said they had not received their shipment yet...
I know this has probably been answered a few times but I didn't find any good answers in a quick search. I also know there are plenty of smart people that have done this before.
I have a customer that has a very large house that I have set up 3 netgear WG302 one on each floor wired directly...
The WMF flaw cant be "Spread". it is just a backdoor into the system that could be use to install anything they wanted. So technicaly if a network aware virus was installed then it it could spread to another machine.
That dll unregistering has proven to not be totaly effective.

ive never found the files to download on nods site for that. If you have the server version it will create cd update files for you. I've uploaded them to some webspace I have and I'll send you a PM with the link. It's about 9 MB and I don't want tons of people downloading it and eating up all...
I'm currently on the 5down 2up plan and im getting the 5down and 1.8 or 1.9 up. It's close enough for me. I know the have a 15/2 plan for 10 bucks more and I'd love to have that plan but I need to save all the money I can :) and I really don't need 15 down as most places cant give me that and I...
I have no problems with latency with my fios service. In fact I love it. I wanted it more for the upload speeds they offer. I guess if you have any specific questions I could try to answer them Also all ISP pretty much have policys against hosting but you can still do it as long as it doesnt eat...
I'm not sure if you are limiting the upload speeds or just letting it do whatever it wants but if you max your upload speed on a cable system you download speed will go to crap. Now i know some programs measure speedsi n KB's and you isp measures speeds in kb.
so with a 384kb upload the max...
if you block the upstream your cable modem wont work. Honestly I doubt that there is any way to use the diplexer. I'm sure its cross interference or something causing the modem to drop. I'd suggest just running a cabler line directly to where you want the modem to be. You could also try...
I personaly use a usb hard drive of course i dont have 350 Gb of stuff but you can still get a big drive and just toss it in a enclosure and use some software to set a incrimental backup. I user Genie Backup and I love it.
With that much data you easiest option is hard drive as it would be...
I didn't get this at all. So I started thinking... it must be that you are using IE because I closed firefox and opened the page. I was then prompted to allow that install. So now we know who still uses IE :D
ok what brand of modem do you have and does it allow multiple computers on its own. Did you have a router before. I looked through the posts and didnt see it mentioned. Also what ips does your modem hand out? are they 192s or public.
You can also try this

I've had some luck with that but honestly I'd never trust my machine after I'd found a rootkit on it. I'd format and start over.
I'd first suggest trying this norton removal tool to completly remove norton from the system

See if that works
My worry would be about the P2P software you are using. If its a conflict wit hthe windows firewall turn it off. If its a problem with DEP then you could turn it off but if some new security feature in SP2 is stopping your software from working I'd almost suggest finding a new P2P program...

These guys are awesome. Plus its a great deal for 49 bucks a month. I've had 0 problems with them. It is a Virtual Private Server so you have full control of alot of things.
is the new modem a router also? Basicly does it hand out a 192 ip address when directly conected to it? if so they airport and it could be using conflicting ip ranges.
go to device manager and look to see if your display adapter says (LDDM) after it, If it doesnt then you probaly installed the wrong drivers. I used the newest nvidia drivers for vista and i do not have a nvidia tab in the advanced section of display properties.
make sure you downloaded...
just a note on this part. If you pay for a dell cd on a new system thats your mistake. I just got a inspiron 6000 2 weeks ago. of course it came with no restore cd and for somereason the utility that is normaly in the dell accessories section was missing so i could not create me own cd. I got on...
