I'm wanting to use this motherboard with a AMD 240e 2.8GHZ CPU
Tiger Direct has this motherboard on sale for $45
M5A78L-M LX PLUS Socket AM3+ 760G mATX AMD Motherboard
Is this a good deal, thank You
Thanks for your input
I have a couple of older computer cases and the mounding holes for the Power Supplies are too big for the newer style power supplies. I'm wanting to know if they make a template that can be used to fit the newer smaller power supplies to the older cases.
I can't believe they don't make something
Just looking for a motherboard that will support an AMD ATHLON II X2 DUAL CORE 240E 2.8GHz CPU PROCESSOR AD240EHDK23GM
One that's commom and can be picked up cheap on e-bay and won't break the BANK:)
The software I'm using monitors 8 security cameras, ready to record any movement at any time. The RAM usage with 4 gig of RAM is average 37% all the time
The Athlon II X2 240e is a low power version of Athlon II X2 240 and runs at 2.8 GHz and features 1 MB L2 cache per core. With TDP at just 45W, the 240e is ideal for low-power systems, like HTPC or always-on computers.

I want to build a Energy Efficient computer because it will be running 24/7 recording video for security.
I want it to be dual core or more, I'm not sure where the price breaks are yet.
I'm thinking of using ADO5600IAA5DO AM2 SOCKET Dual Core, this is a 2.9Ghz dual core 65 watt processor...
Just do the math, its not that hard. Its real, the thing is you never heard of this before and its blowing your mind. Your programmed in your thinking. You need to think out of the box:)
$420.00 savings in 5 years, not bad. Thats a $7.00 per month, its worth thinking about.
24/7 video recording for security, now if I can only build a machine for $500.00 thats a PC cost of $80.00 at the end of 5 yrs
Heres some things I like...
Well if I could get by with one 140mm that would be best.
I want this for a personal PC 24/7 never shut it off

The computer I want to build will only have 1 moving part that's it!
Solid State hard drive
Fanless power supply
Fanless Video Card
A BIG Oversized heat sink, so if the heat sink gets a little dirty it won't shut down.
And the fan I want to use is good for 300,000 hours of use...
I have an older case that is still in good shape, the only thing is I now have a newer type power supply to install and the opening on the case for the power supply is too big.
Do they sell a mounting plate the will allow me to install the smaller size power supply.
a conversion plate...
I got mine in a desk and the back of the desk is open, it has 3 case fans 1 CPU fan its overclocked to 4.5 GHZ 4 core average temp per core is 31c
Fanless PSU and Fanless Video card, All fans are Cougar fans. Very little noise with the desk door closed I can barely hear it
There will be dust, just make sure you all of the heat sinks are extra large with lots of metal, so the dust won't matter much:)
Its always been the cooling fan that goes bad for me, PSU fans going bad, CPU fans going bad. VIDEO card fans going bad. I'm now using 100% 300,000 hour fans...
These guys sell these fanless systems, these guys have inspired me to build my 4 fan system

“They are now offering a fully-built 100% silent PC, using Nofan's revolutionary IcePipe processor cooling technology. This high-specification machine doesn't...
Thats not true about fanless products, they are built better to with stand the heat, they are overbuilt
Check out Kingwin Stryker STR-500 FAN-LESS Power Supply
Your programmed in your thinking, thats all you know. You do not know the facts, its just a guess on your part.
I expected...
Cost is out of this world

If you look at the spec's of the computer I built below, its overclocked to 4.5Gz and it only has 4 fans, no other moving parts. But it does have a 2TB hard drive
Because of the PSU and Video card it does require a little air movement and there is just enough air movement to do the job
The...
I did buy one of these fans, a Coolink - Coolink is a brand of Kolink International Corporation, which is a cooling specialist and was established in 1996.
Kolink and the Austrian based Rascom Computer Distribution also market products under the name of “Noctua”
The Coolink fan...
Has anyone ever built a computer that is bullet proof, I want this to be the kind of computer once its built you can forget it.
I want to overbuild it to be a bricksh*t house to run 24/7 for years with no maintenance required.
No fan in power supply - fanless
No fan on video card 1Gb -...
Don't worry about the caps,I only do that so you can see it, thats all.
With a CPU fan (PWM) will run twice the speed as a case fan and make twice the noise. If you use all PWM it will sound like a rocket ship:)
Thats the fan I would get, that is a 300,000 hour fan - BUT THAT IS NOT A CASE FAN------THAT FAN IS A PWM AND IS USED TO COOL THE CPU-----------------------------------YOU NEED A CASE FAN
