When I explore the Boyen Fortress just outside town, I have no problem crawling into tight spaces, but when I entered a huge dormitory that was black I kept thinking someone's right behind me.

Yes, but in pitch black darkness I am terrified.

I have to actively cancel out a panic response.

Particularly indoors, and in the forest.

Darkness scares me somewhat.

It was related to seeing the aftermath of her parents' death in a bad car wreck.

My mom had PTSD, but that didn't exist back then in peacetime, so never diagnosed. But it made her somewhat desensitized to things that should frighten people.

I loved the MRIs always. The noise did not bother me, because I understood why it's doing that. And being in the presence of such neat tech did it for me.

Or do you get panicked because of the body being "in something"?

Same with reading, learned that passively.

There was noone around within miles, so dangerous as heck.

That lake had a very steep fall, and I did find myself not reaching the bottom and panicking, but was able to return to shore.

Hehe, similar with both skills here. But I always liked water, so one year I just took my bicycle and paddled 15 km to a tiny lake I found on the map that was out in the middle of the fields and had like 6 meters of beach. I can't get un-clothed in front of people, so I had to do that. But I did sort of get the basics during those few trips. Like yourself, I won't drown, I'll swim some weird combo-style.

By teched-out I mostly mean well-insulated, wind turbines, solar

Living on a small (but teched-out) boat is one of my odd dreams about how I'd like to live.

It's not white-water rafting, but it's quiet, scenic and the network is extensive.

If you like canoeing, Masuria is literally the best place to do so. Lots of little lakes, rivers, mad-made uhh channels

We do have an analog - Poland's national dish - the kebab
