I sit about 30" away from a 40" LG C2. I suppose I'm a bit of an oddball. I wouldn't tolerate anything but 100%...100% is the point! I want the UI real estate!
I do end up centering a lot of windows if I'm reading or what not, and it can be annoying for something to be in the corners. But...
Is this for an eye issue? Can't imagine why you'd want this otherwise; you can change the PPD with either size of the screen or distance from it. Heck, a VR headset.
My review so far after previously had a JU6500 40" Samsung TV since 2015:
Color/Contrast obviously leaps and bounds better.
120FPS very fun. Haven't gamed on it yet, mostly video edited. Excited to try some color grading in my future. Might rent a colorimeter.
The OLED makes the...
Just started fiddling around with the service remote and I've already clicked a button which I didn't know what it did; the INSTOP button apparently does a factory reset which is in itself relatively harmless but apparently resets the hours on time and could void a warranty.
But otherwise it...
Hm....it seems like Game Optimizer messes with the blacks in a way I didn't understand... Turning it off solved the issue. I thought Game Optimizer was necessary for 120FPS but apparently not?
DDU, reinstalled NVIDIA, not sure what's going on.
I had turned down the gamma on a previous monitor I was connected to;
then I connected it to the C2 and can't get it to "forget" that previous gamma.
Connected it to my laptop and the color is fine; so it's definitely some relationship to the C2...
In messing around with my windows 11 display calibration settings I've somehow set the gamma too low and everything's crushed right now, but no amount of fiddling with the NVIDIA control settings or deleting windows profiles or deleting calibration profiles can uncrush it. I'm on the LG C2.
Haven't fully calibrated my C2 yet; any recommendations or guides on getting it calibrated for color correction accuracy without a colorimeter? Not a professional colorist but I often have to finish videos for work. Not rigorous perfection needed, just good enough. Besides calibrating for...
Yah, I want to get one, but 50% of my work is emails and spreadsheets and the other half is video editing in Adobe; I feel like no matter how diligent I am, I'm going to get lazy at some point. Though I imagine i'd run everything as low brightness as I could? I tell myself I'd play more games...
1 year old build; just need to know if there are any best practices on diagnosing which component it is.
Other devices receiving some power might indicate it's not the PSU? Or am I naive?
But the GPU not lighting up makes me think that it's that.

I do work in a lit room and this would be mostly desktop/productivity with occasional gaming. I'm still on a JU6500 from 2015, which I believe is a VA television. I don't really notice the VA angles that badly, and I'm using it as a monitor about 2-3ft away. So maybe this will be nice...
I use MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING X TRIO 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6 with a 4K TV via HDMI
I was in lightroom doing random stuff when green lines appeared all over the screen and then it blacked out.
I used Parsec to remote into my computer which automatically changed it to 1080... and there's signal...
Hey Chief, thank you for the reply.
So I see the ghosts; I'm just unclear on what I should see. Does a "good" panel, OLED, or just not VA, etc, mean I shouldn't see these artifacts like ghosts, etc?
I own a video camera, I could probably do similarly using that.
Hello all, I have a JU6500 40" Samsung from several years ago, and while it was so cutting edge at the time and cost me over 800$, I've always been a little wary of the actual quality of the panel. I got it more for the screen real estate than the quality, but now that I'm eyeing a better panel...
I imagine if miners are buying up GPUs and then they take a bath in the markets, they'll be looking to offload their GPUs quickly for cash instead?
Same with scalpers; is there a chance they start going BELOW MSRP? I'm just wondering what happened last time.

I know folks have been waiting for solid entries into the 32" 4k HFR HDR arena...
I've been using an AIO for my 4770k for 7 years, but could be interested in an air cooling solution for my incoming 5900x
Is a Noctua overkill?
I forget what it was about PBO or something where coolers could improve stock performance.
edit: possible alts 212 Evo or cryorig h7?
What happened to that site that graphed eBay items by "Sold"? It feels like somethign so simple for a scraper to do, yet nobody has done it again. Wonder if they have some anti-scraping measures. Doing it manually I was able to chart some downward price trajectories...
Order # XXXXXX6472 from B&H
NOV 5 12:40 EST initial email confirmation for 5900X
Just shipped despite them initially saying my order may have been pushed to 2021.
Was gunning for a 5950X but now that this is actually coming I feel it's not so worth it...
For anyone who hasn't played Phasmaphobia yet, though, its atmosphere and design is pretty fun! You get pretty spooked when the lights start flickering and you know you need to find a closet...
Anything from Silent Hill has not been mentioned enough.
Edit: Also Fatal Frame!!!
Though the invisible water creature in Amnesia also got my heart racing. Nothing like running from something you can't see yet can hear splashing behind you.
I imagine a digital paper trail of the screenshot's metadata to the originating computer along with discerning whether any metadata-altering software ever existed on the system in question would all be taken into account.
Yeah, I do have neighbors so perhaps I should just go with a 2.0 or 3.0 without a subwoofer.
I figure just bluetooth for the receiver but to wire the speakers.
The projector has a roku and a switch, but I am considering running a line from the PC.
I was suggesting the screen brackets, yes. They...
So, per real microeconomics, economic surplus exists, it's just a matter of who it goes to; the manufacturer, the consumer, or a scalper. (e.g. if someone willing to pay 700 for a card gets it for 500, their economic surplus is 200)
If manufacturers released the cards as a mass simultaneous...
In NYC, space is at a premium, so i was originally going to go with a soundbar, but at the behest of many a technophile I am now considering at least a 3.1 system, though, 5.1 could be on the table, which is what I'm asking about now. The pictures below should explain most of the setup.
Would...
I currently rock a 17lb 40" on an electronic standing desk, which I like desk mounted because it rises and falls with my desk (Bamboo Fully desk).
The arm is onlly rated for ~20lbs though. But I think rocking a slightly larger 43" wouldn't be out of the question so long as an arm exists.
Was looking for Ryzen 5, RTX 30X0s, and at this point only the builders have them in stock. Naturally there's a labor/warranty premium from these guys, (I compared part by part to their cost, and it's about 2300 to do it myself and 3100 for them to do it).
Are there any comparisons of the...
I'm surprised there aren't plastic/rubber accessories like dental dams fit to processors; Lay down a rubber shield, apply slightly too much such that proper pressure will cause a tiny excess to squeeze out, but pull away the rubber like masking tape and you have edge to edge coverage as well as...
My system is from 2014 btw; AFAIK my PSU is enough? It's 650W, 4770k, 32GB ram, GTX970, 2 SSDs, 4 HDDs.
At any given time at least one of the HDDs will be disconnected.
I thought maybe it was a bad SATA cable, so I swapped some around and then the ones that were working swapped, but then it...
