165 Hz IPS vs 240 Hz VA?

Looking at picking up a dirt cheap budget 1080p gaming monitor as a display for a second setup, and I’ve found 2 from Acer that are well reviewed with these specs respectively. Which one would provide a better experience for games with fast motion?

Any 4k 27" High Refresh Glossy Monitor?

That really does sound impressive. I was looking at the rtings page and I noticed that they only have < 20 Hz listed as the VRR minimum. I was wondering if either you or Vega had tested this and could tell me what the actual minimum is. 20 sounds great, but I want something as low as reasonably...

    Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" 7680x2160 super ultrawide (mini-LED)

Last year, I enjoyed getting to try the Odyssey Neo G8, and although I really ended up disliking the curve and the thick AR coating on that thing, it was still fun to get to try it out. I was hoping that this year I could have a similar summer experience trying out this Neo G9, but for whatever...

Any 4k 27" High Refresh Glossy Monitor?

So, I've definitely got to say that you calling it your favorite monitor is high praise indeed. I'm a little skeptical about the fact that it's a random brand, and about it being semi-gloss instead of full glossy. I'm curious, how much matte-er (is that a word) is it than a like a C2 or...

Any 4k 27" High Refresh Glossy Monitor?

The only option I see in this regard is the Dough Spectrum, but that's the same company that used to be EVE and they've got a horrible reputation. I'd be glad with literally any other option.

    Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" 7680x2160 super ultrawide (mini-LED)

You mean their terrible antireflective coating?

Big "LOL" if true. Not touching that monstrosity again.

4K HRR Monitor With 60W Power Delivery Over USB C?

Now we’re talking! Is there a 27” version of the same thing? 32” is personally just a tad big for me.

4K HRR Monitor With 60W Power Delivery Over USB C?

Does such a monitor exist outside the Eve/Dough Spectrum? I'm sure I don't need to go over the company's poor history, especially when it comes to issuing timely refunds. I'd prefer some other option for the same sort of feature set if possible, but I doubt anything thats qualifies exists...

Is it worth going 4k with a computer monitor yet?

No, of course not. We should all use 1440p for another 20 years and then discover the wisdom of going down to 1080p to get 50000Hz in the esports title of the time.

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

So, I'm feeling a little dumb right now. See, I spent quite a bit of time wrapping this thing up today, and it's only now that I'm watching Linus' Shortcircuit video above that I'm realizing I never tried changing the miniLED settings from "Auto" to always on. I don't know why I didn't think of...

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

Both. They're both impressively bad. Must be that crispy AR coating in action. I'm surprised multople people want to swap out their OLEDs for one, considering how fantastic those look in SDR.

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

I couldn't help getting one in to try out, seeing the mixed reception everyone else has been giving it here. Honestly, I'm really impressed with the HDR on this thing; it looks really good. I'm not so impressed with the SDR on it… which is the bulk of the content I'm looking at on my screen. It...

    Sony Inzone Gaming Monitors

This actually looks pretty nice. I was recently thinking of picking up an old x27 since all the current 4K 120 Hz+ offerings are either too bad (no FALD) or too expensive (miniLED for $3K+). The Neo G8/G7 were the exception, until I saw that their curve’s the wonkiest looking thing I’ve seen in...

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna refuse delivery when it arrives later today. This thing's too wonky to take seriously. Better luck next CES, I guess.

The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

As far as I know, only iMacs and Apple’s Pro Display XDR and Studio Display have glass layers in front of their screens. However, if you’re okay with glossy instead of glass, the 4K 144 Hz Eve Spectrum offers that. Unfortunately, it’s only 28” and isn’t miniLED. I don’t understand how anyone...

    LG UltraWide 40WP95C-W 39.7" 21:9 Curved FreeSync 5K2K (5120 x 2160) HDR IPS @ 72 Hz

The people saying this is “for Mac” are ignoring the bad text rendering on macOS for anything not running at 200% scaling. Clear text’s important on a productivity display, isn’t it? If you chop off the sides to think of this monitor in terms of 16:9 resolutions/pixel density, it’s a 32” (really...

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

Weird. Earlier today it was June 24, and even now it's June 28. But my order from like a week and a half ago still estimates June 30. Did I accidentally pick slow/delayed shipping when I ordered or something?

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

I'd appreciate if someone could test it out too. I just want to know if it's glossy or not. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get used to even semi-gloss.

As it seems there will never be a 16:10 with any gaming options I finally ordered a XG321UG to replace the 30" Dells

    Any 24” 4K High-Refresh Options?

That… almost exactly what I want. The only difference is that I'd want it smaller (24" to 32") instead of larger! :p A 32" at 5K would be awesome for me, too! It's just that that seems like too big of an ask to me since everyone but Apple seems to have given up on 5K. That's why I was looking...

    Samsung 34" QD-OLED

Last time, TV's started adopting 16:9 en masse, right? Well, TV's aren't adopting 21:9 the same way… or at all. Although I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't love to see some.

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

It's because I use 2x integer scaling instead of running at the native resolution of the display. It makes things a nice and sharp at a big enough size. I use virtual desktops pretty extensively which makes me actually prefer a smaller screen; that way, I can see whatever I'm doing right in...

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

Fair enough. For video content (games included), I can't argue. But for text, I really need a pixel density most people would consider way too high. I don't know why.

    Odyssey Neo G8 - 4K 240 Hz 32" Quantum Mini LED

This is a beautiful monitor, but 4K isn't enough at 32 inches for me if I use the monitor for anything other than gaming. I think this would've been better for more people at 27" instead. Personally, I'd want 4K 120Hz+ at 24", but they won't give it to me.
