How much improvement am I looking at, going from a 6800GT (o/c'd to a little above Ultra speed), to a 8800GTS or GTX? Three times faster? Four times faster?
I'm having a hard time finding any review sites that pit these cards against each other.
The game I mainly play is WoW, and with the...
This now appears to be dead. Crutchfield is OOS, and the price went up to $1749.

Great deal on good fans. These are very VERY quiet when run off 5v, and move huge amounts of air with 12v (but not quietly). The manufacturer CFM vs dB specs are a complete lie, but nevertheless, they are nice fans. I use them in the majority of my systems...
Dead. Read below.
Comes out to less than $1.50 each.
I'm a silence freak, so the first thing I do is replace the damned NB HSF. These will come in handy, I think :)

This price is a good $300 less than anywhere else I've checked.
Not exactly mainstream, but maybe someone out there is looking for a couple.
You may want to check with customer service first. The description says 265. Look before you leap please...

This PDA is Amazing. I had been watching prices on it over the last week, and it just dropped another $20, and shipping is now free. This price ends Wednesday, 6/1, according to Dell. For what you...
I know a bunch of you out there bought a Dell SC420. So, if you're not using the extra pair of drive rails that come with it, sell 'em to me!
Please PM me with your price, shipped.

Newegg has had some great deals on Kingston cards lately.
I almost jumped on the 128MB SD cards for $9/AR a little bit back, but this beats the pants off of that.

Story:
I have to tag individual processors for tracking purposes. I found these tiny RFID tags that would fit right next to the IHS on all pentium processors. The rated operating Temp for these RFID tags is 85c. I've read through many many Intel datasheets showing mechanicals and thermal...
I'm looking for the metal plate + copper base with screws and such that let you use a MCW5000 with an Athlon 64 mounting bracket.
I'll also buy any kind of Athlon 64 waterblock if the price is right.
1/2" O.D. fittings only please, might accept smaller fittings if it can be modded easily...
Newegg has them in stock right now.

Thanks to Darakian for the heads up.
I've been waiting for this to be available for a few weeks now.
When I load hardforum.com, each category has a "Last Post" column. Now, when I open the category that the "Last Posted" topic is contained within, that post isn't anywhere in the listing of topics. BUT I can access it by clicking on the link for it next to it's category.
Anyone else noticed...
Does such a thing exist? I'm thinking along the lines of those AA battery holders, but for processors. Going to be tracking individual processors, and need something to put them in so they can be labeled effectively. Obviously want some ESD protection.
Any ideas?
Absolutely, Completely, totally silent when run at 5v. Easily under 14dBa.
(at 5v mine runs just under 1k RPM, while still moving a respectable amount of air)
Very good bearings, not sure exactly what type, but I really like them.
This is by far the best price I've found for them.

Why was my thread moved to *case modding* ?????
I took my time choosing what I thought was the correct category, but the category it was moved to seems wrong.

I've looked at SilenX, and they go down to 60mm, but not lower.
I'm building a little, erm, wind tunnel out of mousepad to silence the inductors on my motherboard, but I can't just cover over that area, I have to keep my mosfets cool also, so I'm going to pull air through the tunnel of...
I'm trying to do a search for "FS" and "NF7" and it comes back as both words being too short. I mean the name of the mobo I'm looking for is "NF7", how am I supposed to make that longer?
I thought it was about time I posted this here
My raptors were making my ears bleed, so after a couple months of covering my ears with headphones (even if I wasn't listening to anything), I decided something needed to be done.
My first idea was to use a big flat piece of copper...
I just bought three of these from them. They were shipped promptly. Shipping was about $7 for three.
This is far and away a killer price for high quality 120mm fans. Every other place I checked was selling these same fans for $10-15.
These come tailed with a 3-pin connector...
After getting my watercooling gear all setup, my raptors in their silenced/watercooled enclosure, and only two near silent fans, there is an extremely high pitched noise coming from my motherboard (yes, it is the motherboard, I've done extensive testing).
I epoxied the inductors on my board...
These are both full version, shrinkwrapped, retail boxed, mint condition, NIB.
They are NOT OEM, or NFR, or Academic.

There's a very high pitched sound coming from my computer, and I think it might be the motherboard itself. I just finished making a watercooled silencing enclosure for my two raptors, and I've tested with just the raptors on inside their closure, and they are inaudiable when idle. I have no...
I don't care what condition they are in, as long at the usual cpu mating side is still flat. Any shape/size/color, the bigger the better. The usual pc recycler bargain bin rubbish type 'sinks. Preferably I'd like to buy in a large lot, not just a few here and there. Let me know what you...
I'm looking to pay less than what I could get a Black Ice Micro for new. So, less than ~$40.
It doesn't need to be a gold medal performer, it's just going to be cooling a couple of raptors.
It must be designed to fit an 80mm fan. Barb size isn't that important.
Post or email offers :)...
