You clearly haven't seen a Samsung XL30 in action. RGB LED + PVA = beats the living shit out of the CCFL + IPS alternative. More than anything, the white glow on the IPS panel really pisses you off on a big panel.

These sorts of improving specs are total bullshit. They're all achieved with kludges like dynamic contrast.

The XL30 is a lot cleaner than the 3007-HC (haven't looked at a 3008 for a while). If you look very closely, you can see a little graininess. But it is only very, very slight. remember, the XL30 is PVA, not IPS. Most if not all PVA panels I have used had less grainy/sparkley anti-glare coatings...

Umm, I was trying to resize the XP partition, not the original Vista partition. I'm trying to get the boot menu so that I can choose between the old Vista install and the new one.

In the context of the 8500GT, it has to be XP. That card is not nearly powerful enough to benefit from its DX10 capabilities. You're going to need every FPS you can get hold of and that means XP.

They can't be Banias cores. Intel has clearly stated that Larrabee cores are in-order cores. As the article says, the most recent in-order Intel core is the Pentium MMX.
