I've owned blackberry's aplenty, and have learned full and well how to use the OS, and they are still clunky as shit compared to my Nexus (or my other Android phones for that matter).
perhaps they don't have an 'ultimate' mobile strategy. Android has always held this sort of always evolving feel to it. Personally I kind of like the making it up part. It's really not a drain on my day that they like to change things here and there for no really apparent reason.
I jumped between AOKP and CNA for a while. Went straight AOKP at around B21. Its just smoother. Currently running the AXIOM AOKP. Shit just leaks butter out. Absolutely the smoothest ROM available.
How is the hardware for the Nexus disappointing? Its the same thing as the Exynos SoC with the PowerVR 540 with a processor that has open source drivers. In the long run the Nexus will continue growing, where the Exynos powered devices cannot.
