I think you might want to strap it down to the desk or it could definitely fly away. The other thought that came to mind it would make one hell of a jet engine mod.

Dude,
Thanks for the information. I havent really kept up with how the AM2 socket handles memory. It is a secondary machine, I just wanted to know if I would see a significant boost if I dropped the cash for the DDR2 800 memory.

I just picked up a AM2 X2 3800+ and was wondering how much of a performance drop I can expect running PC4200 memory? Does it really make that much of a performance difference to use PC6400?
Thanks,

The Evga 7900GT Ko is clocked at 500Mhz for the GPU and 1320Mhz for the ram. The KO Superclocked it set at 580Mhz for the GPU and 1580Mhz for the Ram.

Fresh,
I just picked up a batter from ebatts.com for a really good price. If you search around you can find a coupon for a 10% discount. I chose UPS Ground for shipping and it was free.

I am looking to Trade an Arctic 7 Freezer Pro for a Socket 775 for a comparable heatsink for a Athlon 64. The cooler is brand new, I have never even hooked it up. I ordered it and it took too long to get to me so I ran to Fry's and picked one up. I am open to any offers.

In a round about way. I originally purchased the motherboard with a Pentium 4 630. I decided to upgrade so I sold the processor and bought a Pentium D 820.

I would personally spend a little more and get a better board. If you decide to go ECS then at least get a 945P-A it will allow you to upgrade to a dual core setup at a later time.

I thought so. Any good recommendations for a good solid board? I have been an AMD man for a long time. I think the last Intel chip I owned previous to this was a P4 1.6a. Do you have an suggestions for a good solid board?
Thanks,

Guys,
I haven't bought an Intel processor in a while but decided to get a Pentium D 820. I am currently running it on an ECS 945P-A (I know, I know) I plan on upgrading the board in a bit. The question I have is, how does the bios read the chip. My ECS is showing that there is one...
I have the same board my myself. This board will not do SLI, each of the PCI-e 16x slots work independently of each other. Did you have any roblems getting the board to recognize your dual core processor?
Thanks,

Matrox used to be king of the 2D world, their image quality was unsurpassed, but in the new 3D world they cannot or will not compete. If you need a multi monitor solution or are just interested in some of the best 2D graphics they are worth a look.
