You are 100% right. I put it in that slot and the BIOS told me it was limited to 8x. But it tests the same, so you were right on with your comments! Case closed, my next card I buy will hopefully have a different fan setup!

Zac, no I cant. Yet when I unplug either monitor from startup, either one will default as the main monitor.

I have ruled out the cables and both DVI ports on my 8600GTS. Both displays work fine..... Some kind of glitch in the way windows manages monitors. Not sure where in the registry or settings to peek though. They are two new LG 24" LCD's running off the DVI ports.:confused:
