I just picked up the Fnatic miniStreak with Cherry Red silent switches. It's quieter than the Logitech G Pro it replaced. Not really silent, but definitely less clicky.
I haven't had any issues setting DPI either with GHub. I set mine at 1600 and remove the other DPI stops. I've never been a real fan of the Logitech software but I can always get it to do what I want. I've had good success with their hardware over the years though.
I just switched from Logitech G502 (started having minor issues with the buttons) and G Pro keyboard (LEDs going out for certain colors) to Logitech G903 and Fnatic miniStreak TKL (Cherry Red Silent). I'm loving this new setup. Things feel light and smooth and I like the shape of the G903 a bit...
Just got one today through Sony invite. Picked up some accessories and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut. Hopefully it's here by the end of the week and I can finally retire the PS4.
Yes, speeds haven't changed since I got the CM2000 and had Comcast get it provisioned.
It has completely solved my issues with the modem losing lock though. Rock solid and the connection has been up for over 11 days straight right now. I'll take reliability over not much more Mbps and I'm happy...
I have the same plan and pretty much the same speeds as you. My SB8200 seems to have started losing lock randomly about a week ago after having been solid for about 3 years. I just picked up a Netgear CM2000 to replace it and I'm hoping it gives me more years of solid service.
I have the LG (two actually) and its a great monitor in my opinion. I'm staying with 1440p for at least another year or two.
Looks good for games, CAD, office work, good viewing angles.....if you can spring for it I doubt you will be disappointed.
Another LastPass user here. I pay for Premium and it has worked pretty well for me on both PC and mobile. It can be a bit clunky at times but does the job and I have no complaints.
I've never had success with ICC profiles created by others on my monitors. I've had results that were worse than stock.
I use Rtings or TFT Central menu calibration settings as a start point and spend a bit of my own time so the image is reasonable and then leave it.
If you really need a real...
None.
I check out the initial reviews and avoid beta testing or games that sound bad. Later on if things get fixed and I'm interested I'll buy. That has worked pretty well for me over the years.
Finished TLOS Left Behind on normal, then grounded, then got the last 2 trophies to get 'em all.
I am starting on the Uncharted series again. Remastered this time as I got the platinum on the first 3 when I had my PS3. I own, but never played Uncharted 4 so I'm working back through the story to...
I just finished The Last of Us (first one). I actually played through it almost 4 times to get all of the trophies besides the Online ones.
I first ran through it in Normal mode. Then I started a Grounded + playthrough. I realized to get all the trophies including all shiv doors, etc. I was not...
I just finished playing through Mass Effect 1 - 3 again. I thought that part 3 was much better with all the DLC installed.
Now I'm starting on The Last of Us which I've embarrassingly never finished.
For me to from what I had before which was something like 150/12 to go to the 1000/45 it was actually about $15 a month cheaper for the year and then it went back up to what I was paying before so it was a no-brainer. I was actually not as excited about the gig down as I was about my upload...
Xfinity (Comcast) Gigabit Internet. Supposed to get a gig down and 35 Mbps up. For the most part over the years we haven't had any issues and if there were a tech was out pretty promptly.
I think you are asking for a tough combo there. Good looking game, modern, and not too complex. The RPG genre pretty much loves complexity.
Honestly I would just try to find the highest quality story that appeals to her. Maybe if she likes it find one that she can play as a female character...
Definitely can't wait for this. After all this time.
I just got my copy of Shenmue 1 and 2 for the PS4. I'm busy studying for a test this upcoming Saturday, but once I get past that I'm going to devote some time to getting back into the world of Shenmue.
Try the TFT Central settings (from the Calibration section) from their Dell S2716DG Review along with their ICC profile as a starting point. I just kept it the way they set it up and personally I find the image to be great for everything that I do.
You are going to have to make that call for yourself. TN will not have the same viewing angles without color shifting etc that IPS will. TN will have less input lag if that matters to you. I personally sit in front of my monitor and have it on an arm so it is always oriented right in front of...
Yes, out of the two technologies you want Gsync if you are going with Nvidia based cards.
I have the Dell S2716DG and it's great. I calibrated it per TFT Central settings and I really like the way it looks. I had the Rog Swift before and the panel crapped out on me. I like the Dell better honestly.
I use the TFT Central settings exactly from their review along with their ICC profile. Check the calibration section of the review linked.
Dell S2716DG
I posted this in another thread, but this should be in the official thread. I just got mine today to replace my Asus ROG Swift that had the panel go bad after 3 months of ownership.
Same report to give as Raendor. No noticable blb, could not find any dead pixels. I calibrated per the TFT...
I just got mine today.
Same report to give as Raendor. No noticable blb, could not find any dead pixels. I calibrated per the TFT Central settings and it looks great. Very sharp. Compared to my ROG Swift (which was also calibrated per TFT Central settings) that is getting RMA'd the gamma is...
For what it's worth...the 10ft Cable Matters DP cable I bought would not pass 1440p 144Hz....but an Accell 10' DP cable would. It seems there might be a bit of "cable lottery" when you get to the 3m length and past.
I actually just bought the Dell as a replacement. After calibration it is supposed to be just fine. I get the sense that build quality is more consistent than other manufacturers.
I'm pretty bummed. From what I've been reading this is not an uncommon problem. It also sounds like the RMA process is...not great. I'm looking to buy another 1440p 144Hz Gsync monitor because if I get through the RMA process I think I'm just going to sell the repaired panel.
The other annoying...
Well, my monitor all of a sudden just developed the blurry, washed out text, some flickering of certain horizontal lines and tinting on white icons. Already tried to reset the monitor, reinstall drivers (yes, using DDU), new displayport cable, deactivating Gsysnc, SLI. Tried using ULMB too...
I got a new S7 and Gear VR for now. I needed a new phone anyway so it was a no brainer to pick up the Gear VR. The resolution is noticeably low, but for 100 bucks it's not an issue for something to play around with.
My system is ready for any of the big vr equipment but I'll wait to see how...
