lol for sure...dude, i've had this damn monitor since like 2009 and it's served me well for so long...it's just time to move on. That's really what started me even looking at a PC upgrade. I was thinking I would upgrade my monitor this year, but my current machine would not be able to handle...
yeah, the 7950x wasn't really chosen for gaming alone. i will game on it, but it won't be the primary focus. the new monitor will come later, that's next to research. lol
Oh for sure, I agree that 64GB of ram is going to be the future go to. My current machine that I have now has 32GB and I built it back in 2015 so getting 32GB on this new build will probably be doubled at some point.
Yeah, this thing is way overkill for 1920x1200 no doubt. The monitor will be...
I would consider that..as I'm curious to see the benchmarks of those new chips.. but they have already confirmed that the 2/14 release date was not accurate. so really no concrete release date yet on those. 😢
Hmmm.......I think that just might have to be my board choice. Seems perfect. Thanks for the suggestion. 🤘
As far as the RAM goes, it looks like those are all XMP like the one I posted initially. I thought a previous poster said those were the wrong ones for a ryzen build? 🤔
So I'm curious why so many people say to not get a B650 board and to spring for the X670. The jump in price is pretty significant and in doing a stare/compare on the manufacturer's page...I really don't see any huge differences that stand out that would matter to me. I don't need wifi, I...
Interesting... I didn't even know about a new ATX 3.0 standard. I found a reddit post about it and it seems that none have even been released yet. I'll keep an eye out...thanks.
I wouldn't say this new machine would be primarily gaming..I will game on it, but definitely not mostly gaming...
See, this is why I posted...lol. it was indeed XMP and according to their website...the AMD EXPO does not come in white. Back to the drawing board...lol
Thanks, I really prefer the looks of the Hyte Y60 with it's angled glass corner, but the larger non-founders edition 4080/4090 cards sit too close to the side glass to really cool well. =(

Thanks, I'll look at the other MB options. As far as the RAM goes, I don't have a problem spending a little more money if it makes sense. I'm just not convinced that going from 5600 to 6000 would provide any real world tangible boost in performance at 4k. I will have to do some more looking...
So what I am looking for are some wireless headphones that have a charging cradle. Oh yes, I'm sure there are many with a charging cradel..but I am looking for a pair that will disconnect when resting on the charger and send the audio back to the computer speakers. Then when I want to use the...
Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core, GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V - System Build - PCPartPicker
i have already purchased the PSU on this list but haven't started building the machine yet.. just wanting to get some other opinions on whether or not it will be big enough. the only other things that...
howdy...been a LONG time since i've built anything and i've picked up an i7 6700k cpu and the gigabyte gaming 5 mobo. i'm planning on doing a mild overclock on the build. what ram would you suggest? i'm wanting to get 2x8gb for now. seems that gskill is the ram most people recommend these...
lol... decaf bro, decaf.
yes those motherboards don't have those things, but my buddy doesn't need them. i'm just putting together a non-shitty computer for him on the cheap.
ok.....so i've decided to go with the amd deal at microcenter. the x4 965 and motherboard for 150. there are 2 choices for the motherboard.
Asus M4N68T-M V2 Socket AM3 630a mATX Motherboard
Biostar A780L3G AM3 760G mATX Motherboard
i'm leaning towards the asus.. what do you all think?

thanks, yeah i swapped out the ram for what they recommended and got the better video card as well as the power supply you had above. still up in the air about getting the i3 or possibly one of the amd chips. microcenter has some really good combo deals on the amd x4 965 chips right now... =/
DAMMIT.... now i'm not sure again. they have the amd phenom x6 1055T with msi mobo for about the same price as i'm getting the i3 combo for... =/
