I came across this card. Seems to be made for receiving HD satellite signals. Looks to also have a slot for the card also. Does anyone know anything about it? Google searches haven't turned up too much info.
A quick sugguestion guys..
Use your cell phone's text email. I know with Verizon, its [email protected] or [email protected]. I would think other carriers have similar setup. That way, you'll get the notice quickly, and anywhere.
Problem is, maybe I (or anyone) prefer shadows over tree complexity, or drawing distance, or AA or AF..."playable" is hardly a meaningful measurement. Its opinion.
The trouble I have with HardOCP's reviews...mainly the video card comparisons, is the data you have to wade through to figure...
I have the 2005 model, using the DVI input. The PIP will only use the S-video and composite. It wouldn't let me do it with the analog VGA. Which I was really hoping it would, I've got my file server connected to the VGA. But still, its only a few button presses away.
Good question. Seems that I never see anything shipped from there, but yet I have to pay sales tax due to it being there. Wouldn't be so bad if it meant I at least get my stuff quicker.
I had a Lite-On 4x DVD burner die on my close to the end of the 1 year warranty. NewEgg replaced it with...
I want a simple file/folder list when browsing my music and videos. I'm not interested in having to tag all the mp3s, or reorganizing my collection, so that Meedio will import it correctly. I use the Media Browser plugin. So it pulls a listing of the files every time its accessed. I rather...
Finding a tower to do it is easy...plenty of those out there. I considered doing a file server, but lag time of pulling up a directory listing in Meedio is annoying.
That may just be due to using wireless, and me also using my main machine as the server. I'll test a wired connection. If...
I'm looking for a desktop case for my HTPC. I have 6 hard drives, and a DVD drive to fit in it. The real problem comes from the Promise Supertrak SX6000 card that I'm using to RAID 5 the drives. Its really long. It extends about 4 inches past the edge of the motherboard. I've been looking...
Maybe because you just might want to use this drive in future systems, and IDE is on its way out. Soon, we'll only have one IDE port for optical drives, at least until those get converted over.
I had one problem with these drivers. When I enabled Overdrive, and hit apply, my screen suddenly fills the screen with multi-colored lines across the screen. Can't see to do anything about it, and have to reset my computer.
But NewEgg does have a wider selection, and a better site overall. My favorite part about NewEgg is that they have pictures of pretty much everything there.
Having said that, my last few purchases were with ZipZoomFly, because NewEgg charges TN sales tax now.
Ok, tried it...didn't work.
I had data on the new partition, and reformatted the old one. I could access data on the new one just fine. But when I wrote data to the old one, the new one gave a corrupted error. Upon restart, diskcheck found all kinds of corrupt indices and orphan files on...
Here's what I've got so far on my 80GB drive.
1 partition of 76.33GB (the original partition)
1 partition of 8MB (the one that holds Ghost's temp files)
1 partition of 66.71GB.
So far, I have copied 52.5GB to the 66.71GB partition. Tried playing an mp3 from it, and it worked.
Tried...
But if a 200GB becomes 510GB...how is that possible based on what you guys are saying? I mean, it could be rubbish, but if that happens, you're explanation doesn't cover it. Overlapping partitions, and virtual partitions, can't be more than the drive is, can they?
Still haven't tried writing data yet, BUT I thought maybe I'd try merging the partitions in Partition Magic 8.02. Well, it lists the drive, at the original size (80GB), and says the partition is 'BAD'.
I'll start copying data to it now, and see what happens.
I did my Maxtor 80GB EIDE. It made it to a 150GB. I didn't follow the instructions exactly either. Instead of moving drives around, I just changed the hard drive boot order in the bios. It worked as far a making the extra space show up. I just finished formatting it, but haven't tried...
