I'm looking for a decent new "system" but I just need the cpu, motherboard, and 512mb to 1gig or ram depending on the price.
Just looking for a decent setup that won't cost me more than $150 total.
Thanks
So, I've had this computer for about 6 years and the motherboard just died (leaking caps) so I would like to get rid of all the other hardware that works.
Parts consist of:
Athlon 1.0ghz T-bird - $10
512mb PC133 ram - $25
128mb PC100 ram - $5
GeForce4 mx440 64mb AGP (fanless) - $15...
I'm looking to buy a computer for ~$200 shipped. I know this is a low price but I'm a cheap ass and I'm always looking for a good bargain.
I won't be doing any gaming, just listening to music, watching videos, and doing programming.
Show me what you have!

Folding@Home is a program that processes protein strands which may lead to a cure for cancer. There's also Seti@Home which analyzes radio waves coming from space for signs of other life.
No, your CPU is not aging, that is perfectly fine.
Advantages: no waiting to boot the system, possibly longer component lifetime
Disadvantages: slightly higher power bill
Turning on your system every time doesn't 'damage' your cpu (or any component) per-say, rather, when you turn on your PC all of the components are jolted with electricity...
I'm looking for a working USB 2.0 external enclosure, the item has to be in perfect working order.

So my year old Acomdata external enclosure decided to bite the dust. It's definitely the enclosure and not the drive.
I'm now in need of a RELIABLE hard drive enclosure. Has to be USB 2.0. I don't care if it's fanless, I just care that it wont shit out on me after a year.
Suggestions?
